Hey J-14ers!

Can you believe it? The holidays are right around the corner and just in time: A Very Special Christmas: Volume 7 -- featuring all my favorite artists is coming out November 23! Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Mitchel Musso, Ashley Tisdale, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Sean Kingston, Kristina DeBarge, Colbie Caillat, Leighton Meester, Gloriana, and more make the all-star line up for this compilation of holiday songs. And they don't disappoint!

These definitely aren't your typical Christmas carols, but they'll still totally get you into the holiday spirit and have you singing along! I was excited to hear some of my absolute favorite artists on there like Leighton Meester, Kellie Pickler, and Carrie Underwood! One of the highlights is Colbie Caillat's "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." Colbie's unique vocals give the song a much needed face-lift, but still hold onto the tune's charm. Miley sings one of my favorite Christmas songs, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," with a full blast of energy. I would expect no less from her! Sean Kingston's version of "The Little Drummer Boy" mixes up the classic with fun beats and reggae fusion. I also am lovin' Leighton Meester's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)!" The Gossip girl is my pick for new artist to keep an eye on in the new year. And last but not least, Ashley Tisdale's vocals are perfect for the fun holiday song "Last Christmas!"

You know how giving is better than receiving this time of year? Bonus: proceeds from the album benefit The Special Olympics! Since the first Very Special Christmas compilation back in 1987, these Xmas albums have raised more than $100 million for the organization. Talk about Christmas cheer! J-14 chatted with Ashley Tisdale behind the scenes of the Hollywood Halloween bash in New York City about her new video "Crank It Up," her style secrets, and her sister's baby on the way!

What do you guys think of Ashley Tisdale?

Think it's too early to make Halloween plans? No way -- the first week of October is almost over! Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale have already Tweeted away their Halloween plans -- Miley wants to be Pocahontas, and Ashley's going to dress up as Alice in Wonderland.

Talk about keeping it in the Disney family. But who will be Miley's John Smith -- her ex-BF Nick Jonas or her Last Song costar Liam Hemsworth? Hmm...

Who do you think Miley should trick-or-treat with this year? What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

Miley Cyrus has been Twittering for days about feeling sick -- she even had to take a 15 minute break during her September 29 show in Salt Lake City before she could finish performing! Luckily Miley's illness isn't too bad -- the singer is suffering from a case of strep throat. Miley's lil sis Noah Cyrus has been nursing her back to health with popsicles, and she's been relaxing by watching Disney cartoons like The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, and Sleeping Beauty.

Famous friends like Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato, and Mitchel Musso have all sent Miley get better wishes.

Two of Miley's Wonder World tour dates have been rescheduled -- tonight's October 2nd show in Omaha has been moved to October 13th, and Kansas City's October 3rd show has been pushed to October 17th. Paperless tickets will be honored for both dates.

Hey J-14ers,

I am a huge emo/pop-punk/power-pop fan. Maybe you shouldn't group all those genres together, but I do, because music overlaps all the time, right? Well, I say this because I've been listening to Boys Like Girls pretty much non-stop recently, so I'm psyched that their new CD, Love Drunk, drops September 8 -- yay new tunes!

I also knew that Ashley Tisdale was as big a fan of the boys as I am, but I had no idea how huge until I saw her in Boys Like Girls' new video for their single, "Love Drunk." I think she was an awesome fit for the song, but I want to know what you think. Check out the video below, and let me know how you think she did!

At Disney Channel's A Summer Soiree: The Magic of Mentoring event, Aliens in the Attic star Ashley Tisdale shared her favorite memory in J-14's exclusive video series, "When I Was 14..." about her first kiss!

Did someone say Secret Life of the American Teenager Marathon (phew, that's a mouthful)? Yes, please! ABC Family is running not just one, but two huge blocks of Secret Life this summer as part of "Campus Crush," a 10-day long marathon of some of your fave shows and movies.

Tune in from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, and from 2 - 8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, to get your fill of Secret Life in, plus they're showing all three Legally Blonde flicks, Stick It with Twilight's Kellan Lutz and Reaper's Missy Peregrym, and Picture This! with Ashley Tisdale.

It's Tierney here, one of the J-14 interns and in my last blog, I confessed my (no longer) secret love of country music when country singer Jesse Lee came in. Well, today Jessica Harp from The Wreckers stopped by J-14 and I'm not gonna lie -- I was stoked because I love her song "Boy Like Me"!
 
Jessica rocked a hippie chic look in a tie dye maxi dress and gladiator sandals. Her outfit totally reminded me of Nicole Richie or the Olsens -- she even had a Starbucks drink in her hand! She talked to us all about her new album,  A Woman Needs, which is set to drop later this year, and what it was like working with Ashley Tisdale's boyfriend, music video director Scott Speer!

He directed the video for her catchy first single "Boy Like Me." Jessica dished the video shoot was before Ashley and Scott were dating, so she didn't get a chance to meet her -- but she did say Scott was amazing to work with and even picked out her clothes for the video!
 
Jessica had such a relaxed attitude and awesome personality! She even dished all about working with Michelle Branch (one of her best friends!) and Keith Urban (he plays guitar on one of her songs!), living in Nashville, and she told us some pretty hilarious stories. My personal favorite was when she jumped off the stage in heels and slipped on her butt right in front of the audience! Oops!

July is a busy month for Ashley Tisdale: her album Guilty Pleasure comes out on July 28, she stars in a movie Aliens in the Attic premiering July 31, she's touring - oh yeah, and it's the actress and singer's birthday today!

Fun Facts About Ashley:
- Ashley was discovered at age 3 and her first gig was appearing in a JC Penney commercial! As a kid she starred in over 100 commercials - wow!
- She's good friends with actress Kaley Cuoco - they go way back!
- When Ashley was in high school, she used to create mags with celeb news in them called Celebrity Life Magazine. Hmm, sounds familiar... maybe Ashley would make a good editor at J-14!

Last night Twilight swept the MTV Movie Awards winning in five categories: Best Movie, Best Kiss, Best Fight, Best Female Performance (Kristen), Best Breakthrough Male (Rob won and Taylor was nominated). Not only did the stars take home the majority of the awards they were up for, but Kristen, Rob, and Taylor were there to present the trailer for New Moon.

High School Musical: 3 also took home a couple awards, Ashley for Breakthrough Performance Female (over Vanessa who was also nominated), and Zac for Best Male Performance. Miley was up for two awards: Breakthrough Performance Female and Best Song From a Movie. After losing the first to Ashley, she won the second award for "The Climb" from Hannah Montana: The Movie! J-14 is totally smitten by hottie Adam Gregory! Not only does he play Ty on 90210, but he was also in 17 Again, Hannah Montana: The Movie, AND he plays Ashley Tisdale's ex-BF in her music video for "It's Alright, It's Okay." Check out our exclusive interview with the star and don't forget to watch the shocking season finale of 90210 on tonight at 9 pm on The CW -- someone is going to die!

J-14: Adrianna's (Jessica Lowndes) water broke last week at prom -- any baby spoilers you can give us?
Adam: I can't really. You don't want to know! Tonight's episode is really going to show how Ty handles the baby and how strong Navid (Michael Steger) and Adrianna are.

J-14: We heard Brenda (Shannen Doherty) is going to adopt Adrianna's baby!
Adam: That is the rumor isn't it? I heard that. That sounds really juicy. (laughs)

J-14: Okay fine -- you win! So tell us what it was like working with big stars like Miley and Zac?
Adam: It was really cool. It was blessing that they even allowed me to show my face for a short amount of time on those films. I was really excited about it. I got to work with Zac and he's a really laidback, chill guy -- very professional. It was really cool to work with him to see just how professional he is and I learned a lot.

J-14: What was it like working with Ashley Tisdale?
AG: She's pretty simple to me -- she's just a cool girl.

J-14: How did you end up in her video?
AG: I don't even know. They just asked me. I guess she has 90210 viewing parties or something like that and she's really good friends with Shenae Grimes 'cause they did a film together called Picture This. She was watching the show for Shenae and I happened to be Shenae's love interest, playing Ty, so she saw me and thought, I guess, I was cute enough to be in her video and decided to make me her ex-boyfriend.

J-14: Ashley's album is called Guilty Pleasure. What's your guilty pleasure?
Adam: There's this pizza shop out here called Cicero's. It's out in L.A. and Santa Monica and they have two large pizzas -- it's buy one get one free and they're the best pizzas ever. They're so good!

J-14: And we have to know, what do you look for in a girl?
Adam: That is a very good question because I'm trying to find that out myself. So far I'm pretty much dazzled by eyes and the smile.

It's Tierney, the intern, and I just wanted to fill you guys in on all the amazing things I've done so far here at J-14!
 
So I don't know about you guys, but I can't stop listen to Ashley Tisdale's new song "It's Alright, It's OK"! It's so catchy and is such an awesome break up song that really pumps you up. Ashley actually came into our offices back in March and I was lucky enough to be able to meet her! She was so sweet and was gorgeous! Trust me, she's nothing like Sharpay in real life. She even said people are always shocked by how shy she is!
 
She talked a lot about her new album, Guilty Pleasure, which I cannot wait for! "It's Alright, It's OK" was a song she could totally relate to because she was cheated on by an ex-boyfriend. (I bet he regrets that now!) She also talked about the Sprouse twins and watching them grow up, which was adorable. Ashley also thinks Miley Cyrus is totally gorgeous. They all really are one big, happy Disney family!

MTV announced the nominations for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and Twilight has the most nominations including Best Kiss, Best Movie, and Best Breakthrough Performance Male for Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Other nominations include Zac Efron in HSM 3 for Best Performance Male, Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie for Best Breakthrough Performance Female, and Slumdog Millionaire for Best Movie. There's also two new categories: Best Song from a Movie and Best WTF Moment.

From now until May 27, you can vote for your faves on MovieAwards.MTV.com. The awards will be hosted by SNL's Andy Samberg on Sunday, May 31 at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT on MTV.
