The J-14 New Moon Countdown has finally come to an end... and The Twilight Saga: New Moon is now in theaters!

For today's exclusive J-14 New Moon special, we met up with Taylor Lautner and asked him about the juiciest subject of all -- the chemistry between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!

J-14 Exclusive Interview: Taylor Lautner On Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

J-14: How did Rob and Kristen build up their chemistry for the first Twilight?

Taylor Lautner: I do remember that they would watch movies together and listen to music together I believe. They actually have a lot of similarities -- Kristen and Rob just clicked.

J-14: And that translated on screen?

Taylor: They just clicked -- they have a great relationship. They were always friends outside of filming, so Edward and Bella are doing good.

Hi there J-14ers!

It's crazy that after an excruciating year-long wait since its predecessor, in the fastest 130 minutes ever, it was all over.

There was the debate over whether Taylor Lautner would be recast, there were the surprise big-name casting announcements (Dakota Fanning!), and there was the endless speculation about whether on-screen sparks between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had lead to a real-life relationship.

But strip away the controversies and hype around The Twilight Saga: New Moon (opening tomorrow), and what you have is simple story anyone can relate to: a young girl with a "hole" in her heart after losing her first love.

Sure, with its sleeker makeup (less campy, more vamp-y) and high-tech special effects (sparkles worth "ooh"-ing for), New Moon is more of a slick "Hollywood" film than the gritty indy feel of the first Twilight. But at the core, it retains what has turned it into an international phenomenon -- the irresistible eternal love story between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, this century's Romeo and Juliet.

And then, of course, there's the werewolf factor -- which heats up this movie (literally!). With Rob Pattinson as the clear central character of the first film, skeptics doubted whether 17-year-old Taylor Lautner could step into the role of a physically more powerful character, Jacob Black.

From the first millisecond he appears on screen, there's no doubt that this guy was born to play this role. His age is barely a factor, as he steps it up big time, taking charge -- both flirting with and protecting Bella. Taylor shows he's got the chops to take what was a three-scene role in the first movie into leading-man territory.

Oh, and did I mention yet that this serious heart-wrenching vampire-werewolf movie is actually funny?! The theater erupted in laughter constantly -- from the wisecracks of Bella's high school friends to the endearing one-liners from Bella's dad, Charlie (dare we suggest Team Charlie?!).

But whether you're Team Jacob or Team Edward (which I clearly remain after this movie!), New Moon is really all about Team Bella. Kristen Stewart is the true star of the film -- capturing the realness of the confusing times of heartache, heartbreak, and ultimately true love.

And I promise you no spoilers, but I'll guarantee you one thing -- the very last line will leave you screaming... and wishing you could borrow Hermione's time-turner from Rob's other movie franchise, Harry Potter, to fast-forward to June 30, when The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters!

Let the countdown to Eclipse begin!

J-14: Rosalie Cullen is all about beauty -- is that a lot of pressure to play?

Nikki: I feel incredible insecure. I feel embarrassed. At times flattered and at times, I just want to apologize to everybody. You know, I'm really appreciative to have that role, but in order for me to not just like fall apart because of the pressure of playing that character with that description is just sort of unbearable at times.

J-14: Do you try to turn the focus away from her looks?

Nikki: I just tried to look at her as every other aspect aside from her being the most beautiful. When you have like 30 million people reading a book, everyone's going to picture in their minds who the most beautiful person in the world is -- it's not me and I know that. But I'm really grateful to all those people that think that I fit that -- thank you.

Team Edward? Team Jacob? Nah! While the rest of the world has New Moon fever, Miley Cyus hasn't caught the disease! (New Moon-itis?!)

"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Miley says. "I don't like vampires. I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it."

One things for sure, Miley won't be rushing to the theater this Friday when New Moon finally comes out. "I feel really lame because everyone's, like, so excited," she says. "I'm like, 'Don't even talk about it.'"

Kellan + Ellen = the perfect TV match-up!

Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (check local listings for showtimes) -- and spills how he almost didn't get in to The Twilight Saga: New Moon after-party! "I'm like I'm in the movie -- I know my hair is blonde right now!" he begged.

Plus Ellen said she would donate $5,000 to The Humane Society of the United States if Kellan takes his shirt off! Will he? Tune in to find out! (And how hot is he doing push-ups?!)

J-14: Who did you bond the most with during the filming of The Twilight Saga movies?

Taylor Lautner: The most is pretty hard. I really bonded with Nikki Reed. I spend a lot of time with Nikki and Kristen.

J-14: What's it like working with Kristen so closely?

Taylor: Kristen's a great girl. A lot of fun to be around. She's such a talented actress. It's awesome to be acting opposite of someone like that. She's amazing. It's a lot of fun!

J-14: Is it weird that you're playing Rob Pattinson, Jackson Rathbone, and Kellan Lutz's "dad"?

Peter Facinelli: I'm only like 10 years older than them, but when 15-year-olds are screaming for them, it makes me feel like I'm 350 years old.

J-14: Do you ever give them fatherly advice?

Peter: I don't think you could ever give them advice for that kind of stuff. Stay away. Don't go to jail.

J-14: Do fans treat you differently?

Peter: The [fans] have actually been really nice to me because I think with Carlisle they're more respectful. Except for the moms. The 15-year-olds are really respectful -- they don't mob me like they mob Rob. But then the moms come out...

J-14: Are your kids really into Twilight? Are they too young?

Peter: No, my oldest is 12. It was kind of nice that she got to go on this little journey with me because she read the books. She was a fan of the books, so she got to come down to the set. Before that, I've always done the kind of movies that were for mature audiences, so she never really got to see what I do. It was nice that she was part of it.

J-14 exclusive interview: Jackson Rathbone on Attacking Kristen Stewart

J-14: Jackson, you in particular have a much more crucial role in this movie. What was it like for you to go lurching at Kristen Stewart and be fought off by Rob Pattinson? Was it as intense as it looks?

Jackson Rathbone: Yeah, it was as intense as it looked and a little bit more actually. I don't want to give too much away but both Kellan [Lutz] and Peter [Facinelli] had to hold me back through that scene. It was one of those scenes that we talked before and I really wanted to go all out and it was great getting to work with the guy doing the stunt stuff with Rob, Peter, and Kellan, because they actually held me back. They actually stop me from getting hurt because if they hadn't held me back I would have taken Kristen down.

J-14: Kristen would have been a goner, huh?

Jackson: Oh yeah!

For today's exclusive J-14 New Moon special, Nikki Reed dished with us on how she really feels about Bella -- from Rosalie's perspective, and her own!

J-14 exclusive interview: Nikki Reed Dishes On Bella

J-14: Some fans of the books think that Bella comes off as depressed and is almost seen as weak because she's lost without her guy in New Moon. How do you feel about that?

Nikki Reed: I think that's what makes Bella so appealing though, is that everyone can relate to that time. I mean, if we're going to associate her with, like, a completely healthy woman then I would have a lot to say about Bella -- but she's a kid. She's a kid and we forget because Stephenie [Meyer] has created such an adult relationship between Bella and Edward. You forget that Bella is still just a kid who lives with her dad, who's very opinionated and very self righteous in a certain sense, but she still needs guidance. This is just her perspective, you know what I mean?

J-14: And by the end of this Twilight chapter, Bella is getting ready to consider marriage. Do you agree with that as her "sibling?"

Nikki: I mean, absolutely not. Am I speaking as Rosalie or Nikki?

J-14: Both!

Nikki: I think the beauty is that this is Stephenie Meyer's world. She created this so it's sort of like, anything goes! Do I think people should be getting married at 18 or 19-years-old? I don't know. It's really not for me to say. I'm not married. No one at this table that I'm sitting with [that would be Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz] is married but I guess you never know what happens tomorrow.

For today's exclusive J-14 New Moon special, we had "evil" vampire Laurent, played by Edi Gathegi, and strong-willed wolf pack member Paul, played by Alex Meraz, dish about each other!

J-14 exclusive interview: Edi Gathegi and Alex Meraz Talk About... Each Other!

J-14: Edi, how do people react when they see you without Laurent's dreads?

Alex Meraz: And accent.

Edi Gathegi: Well, if they recognize me, right? If they recognize me, then they'll be like, you're an amazing actor because you're able to transform and make yourself completely different. Because we're doing a lot of interviews and putting ourselves out there, now people are starting to make the connection that I'm the actor in the movie. I'm getting almost as much recognition for the dreadless Edi as the Edi that's ready to rock.

Alex: Which I've got to say -- I've watched the trailer a lot now because of doing these publicity events and when I see Edi doing Laurent I'm always blown away by his acting chops. Man he's like a completely different person from the Edi I know. Edi's a beast!

Edi: It's an act, dude! You heard it here first, J-14!

J-14: Edi, so what do you have to say about Alex?

Alex: He don't have nothing to say about me because he apparently fast forwarded the scenes that he wasn't in the movie when he watched the film.

Edi: Get out of here!

Alex: No, he fast-forwarded through everything but his own scenes, so he hasn't seen the whole movie!

Edi: Alex under my tutelage is going to be a great actor.

For today's exclusive J-14 New Moon special, we talked with Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, about what his day of filming usually looks -- and tastes -- like!

J-14 exclusive interview with Taylor Lautner about filming

J-14: We know you're not a big fan of the wig you had to wear for Jacob! Were you excited you got to lose it for part of New Moon?

Taylor Lautner: Absolutely. When I found out I was wearing a wig I was like, "oh cool. I've never done this before!" And in the end I was just itching my head the whole time! The worst was in this one Twilight scene when I wore a beanie over top of it and it made it 100 times worse. So I'd try to negotiate with them not to wear beanies anymore.

J-14: What is a day on set like for you guys?

Taylor: We get out of hair and makeup and start filming, get a little half hour break for lunch, film again. We usually finish around 5:30 or 6 and then go to dinner. They have great food, so we always go out to really nice restaurants -- it is a lot of fun! In our down time there... we eat!

J-14: What is your favorite thing to eat from craft services when you're on set?

Taylor: I'm a really a big meat and cheese guy, so I won't make the sandwich. I'll just grab the meat and cheese and eat it straight out of there!

J-14: You're really active on Twitter, do you think it's important for hyping up the New Moon fans?

Christian Serratos: Why not! I mean, you got a Twitter, you might as well use it! I feel a lot closer to fans, which is really cool.

J-14: How do you get to interact with fans on Twitter that you weren't able to before?

Christian: I'm just getting to personally talk to them now. MySpace gets difficult because emails get lost and there's so, so many emails! It gets frustrating for me to try and get to everyone, and it took so much time to reply, and type, and send. But with Twitter, all you gotta do is press one button and it's just a lot simpler!

J-14: Do you think it's okay to talk with your costars on Twitter? You are always Tweeting with Edi Gathegi!

Christian: Yeah, Edi is one of my pals! You have to be careful what you say on there but, whatever!

J-14: Going from Twilight to New Moon, there's definitely a shift in focus from vampires to werewolves. How did that effect the chemistry on the set -- do you feel like you had to take a backseat?

Jackson Rathbone: Not really. It was one of those things when we came back for New Moon, it was like a family reunion because we are like a family. We do eat together, play together, and what not. It was kind of like we came back in for a good two or three weeks, we did our piece and then we left and then the story really got taken over by Taylor Lautner playing Jacob Black -- and he just does an incredible job.

J-14: So it has a totally different focus than Twilight?

Jackson: It's one of those things where you think losing Robert Pattinson for a lot of the movie would kind of be like a down turn but you basically get another, equally inspired, and equally riveting male star in Jacob Black. It's one of those things where Bella is devastated by the departure of her vampire love but you know she gets her spirit rekindled by her growing friendship and her growing love in her and Jacob.

J-14: When fans tell you they want to marry Rob, do you pass along the proposals?

Nikki: Rob's got a list of a million 12-year-olds waiting to marry him! If all else fails, he has a lot of options!

J-14: Did you guys expect that the fans would be this crazy?

Nikki: No! And it's not just Rob -- that's the amazing thing. All the boys in this movie -- the fans just go crazy for all of them. Sometimes Kristen and I just want to be like, "we're so sorry we're not the boys!"

J-14: If you had to come up with one word to describe each of the vampire guys in your movie fam, what would it be for Kellan?

Nikki: Teddy-bear.

J-14: Jackson?

Nikki: Artsy.

J-14: Peter Facinelli?

Nikki: Dad!

J-14: Rob?

Nikki:: Hmm, yeah, Rob's complicated!

J-14: Is there a story behind that?

Nikki: One that I shall not speak of!

For today's exclusive J-14 New Moon special, we chatted with Justin Chon who plays fun-loving Eric Yorkie about the first time the cast got a surprising welcome at the Vancouver airport from the paparazzi!

J-14 exclusive interview with Justin Chon about the paparazzi

J-14: What was it like landing in Vancouver to film New Moon, knowing it would be so different than the experience filming the first Twilight?

Justin Chon: Just a total trip. Most of the movies I've done were small indies on a smaller scale. Shooting-wise, they feel the same -- you're just working -- but in terms of what's surrounding the movie, it's just unbelievable how many people have so much interest in this movie -- it's just wild. I just can't believe it.

J-14: Did you know the paparazzi was there when you got to airport?

Justin: No! What happened was the driver was like, "Alright, let's go up this escalator and go a different way because there's a lot of paparazzi." We all started laughing thinking it was a joke. We were like, "Haha, funny joke!" And then we went out through this one exit and there was a bunch of people just starting to take pictures from afar. We were like, "Wait, are they...?" -- that's why the beginning shots when we're just walking we just look really like confused I think there's a picture of me with my mouth open. It's really like pretty funny I just don't know what the heck's going on! I asked Anna [Kendrick], "Wait, are they taking pictures of us?" We just had no idea and then we realized they're taking pictures of us and we just were like, "Whoa!" Then there were autograph seekers -- and we gave them autographs and the paparazzi was kind of like a total surprise!

J-14: So they found out what flight you were on?

Justin: Yeah, when when we were going home too.

J-14: And they were hanging out on set too?

Justin: Yeah, we had these black things to cover the set so you can't see inside the set. But they were shooting in between crevices and we had paparazzi people at the hotel too.

J-14: So were the rules on this set different?

Justin: Not for us. I mean there was just certain rules like no friends on set and you have to get permission before you brought anyone. And just the way we would even be transported was a lot more different. They would have umbrellas to cover our faces -- they were just taking way more precautions this time.

J-14 exclusive interview with Alex Meraz about Taylor Lautner Vs. Himself:

J-14: Your background is in martial arts, just like Taylor Lautner -- how do your skills compare?

Alex Meraz: I'm better. (Laughs) No, you know Taylor, you've gotta look at the difference. Taylor is 17, I'm 24. I've been doing it a lot longer. And as of recently, I've really become more of an actor now. This is what I'm heavily relying on in terms of survival and what I'm really into now. But a couple of months ago, I was still training and considering doing mixed martial arts like cage fighting. So I'm without a doubt -- without trying to be an ego maniac -- better!

J-14: So you guys trained in different forms of martial arts?

Alex: Yeah, he did more for events -- more of the flashy kind of things. I did it more for efficiency -- to fight.

J-14: But you can both stand there and do back flips?

Alex: Yeah, we can both do back flips.
