Brad turns down $5 million

Brad948.jpgIn another show of support for Angie, Brad declined an invitation to the Oct. 31 Grand Prix Ball Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates -- and the $5 million payday that came with it. Instead he opted to stay in LA to trick-or-treat (dressed as DJ Lance Rock from the children's show Yo Gabba Gabba!) with Angelina and the kids on Oct. 31.

"He's spending more time with the family and doing less of these appearances, even though it's a huge sum of cash," says an insider. James Magee, a rep for Global Event Management, confirms that Brad was expected at the affair. "We were told he would be attending as the guest of the Tourism Development & Investment Company," Magee tells Life & Style.

"But he was a no-show, and nobody seemed to know why." The ball, which helped raise money for the clean-water charity Fresh2o, was the culmination of a three-day event celebrating Formula One racing. Festivities (left) featured performances by superstars such as Beyoncé, Aerosmith and Timbaland.

Is Angelina a total fake?

947COVER.jpgSome big news broke for movie junkies on Nov. 4: Johnny Depp is in talks to join Angelina Jolie in the sexy spy thriller The Tourist. It will be the first time the duo have ever worked together. But the news was even more surprising because it completely contradicted a promise Angelina had made just weeks earlier. In an interview in the October issue of the British magazine Stylist, she said she intended to take a break from acting in part to focus on being a full-time mom to her six young children with Brad Pitt. "Maybe a film a year or every other year, and then I'll phase things out."

Instead, she signed on for The Tourist, and she's also in talks to play a femme fatale in the fashion-dynasty drama Gucci. Of course, Angelina's entitled to change her mind -- but this marks the third time she's publicly proclaimed her intent to take time off to care for her children. Each time, she signs up for a new movie soon after, leaving Brad to do single-dad duty while she hits the movie set.

Andrew Morton says his book doesn't accuse Angie of sleeping with Mom's lover

Angie945.jpgIt is being widely reported that controversial celebrity biographer Andrew Morton is writing a book about Angelina Jolie that claims the actress slept with her mom Marcheline Bertrand's live-in lover when she was just 16, destroying the relationship in the process.

There's just one problem with the story: It's just not true, Morton tells Life & Style.

Morton is writing a bio of Angie, and while he's not revealing specifics, if it's like his previous books about Tom Cruise, Princess Diana and other celebs, it's sure to include some shocking details.

Morton tells Life & Style that his latest project will definitely not accuse Angelina of her of sleeping with her mom's lover.

The report is false, says Morton. "It's about as true as I'm sitting on this horse."

Brad: 'Angie's going to kill me!'

Brad-Pitt945.jpgAfter Brad Pitt bumped into another vehicle while riding one of his motorcycles in LA on Oct. 24, the star's biggest concern wasn't the damaged bike or the scratches on the other car -- it was how angry his partner, Angelina Jolie, would be when she found out about the accident. After the incident, Brad sought refuge in a nearby apartment complex. "He told the building manager that Angie was going to kill him because she thinks motorcycles are too dangerous," building resident Talia Schwartz reveals to Life & Style.

The mishap occurred when Brad tried to squeeze his custom-made bike between two cars that were stopped in traffic. "He misjudged the space between the cars, and it was just a hair too small to fit his bike," an eyewitness tells Life & Style.

Angelina's bizarre new fear

Angelina944.jpgShe flies planes, travels to war-torn nations and even does many of her own movie stunts. If anyone seems fearless, it's Angelina Jolie. But now, for the first time, the actress has admitted she has a deep-seated fear...of hugging. "A handshake is all I can handle from people who aren't close to me," Angie recently confessed to the British magazine Stylist. "I have no idea why it is."

While the Wanted star, 34, may not know the reason for her strange phobia, it could stem from her childhood, psychotherapist Jenn Berman says. "People who don't like
to hug often didn't grow up with affection in a loving, safe household," Berman tells Life & Style.

Angelina: I want even more babies!

943cover.jpgDuring her recent United Nations trip to Syria to meet with refugee families, Angelina Jolie let a secret slip about how overwhelming her own kids can be. Faced with a mother embarrassed that her five children were out of control, U.N. rep Dalia Al-Achi tells Life & Style, "Angelina told the mom that her children are even naughtier!"
Raising six kids under the age of 9 is a difficult task, and Angie herself admits that life is
"absolute chaos at times." Which makes her statements in a new interview all the more shocking: For the first time, she's confirmed that she and Brad Pitt, 45, plan to adopt again -- and have another biological child.

"I can see further additions to the family -- both adopted and our own," Angelina, 34, tells the British magazine Stylist in its October issue.
Brad and Angie plan to add two more children, if not more, to their family, confirms an insider close to the couple. "They want one more biological baby and an adopted baby -- for now," the insider says. "But who knows what the future holds. Some people get addicted to drugs and alcohol, but Brad and Angie are addicted to children."

Why the need to adopt again? Angelina's work as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees exposes her to children mired in poverty and war worldwide, and she's motivated by a noble impulse to help. In Syria, the U.N.'s Al-Achi tells Life & Style, "Angelina and Brad both took time to play around with the children they visited." But their desperate desire to save needy kids comes at the expense of the six they already have.

"Rescuing children out of third world countries is wonderful, but it's very stressful each time another person who has his or her own needs and demands and who's also competing for attention and love is brought into a family," says psycho therapist Jenn Berman, author of The A to Z Guide to Raising Happy, Confident Kids.

And Angelina clearly realizes that she's being stretched too thin. "We have to make sure we can devote enough time to each of them," she tells Stylist, referring to Maddox, 8, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and 15-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne. "There's always one of ours demanding that I help color in something very important with crayons."

Brad and Angelina take the twins to the Middle East

942BRANGIE.jpg Since their twins were born on July 12, 2008, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have carefully kept them hidden away. After a brief appearance at a Tokyo airport in January, Knox and Vivienne practically disappeared from sight.
Until now. For only the second time ever, Brad and Angelina let the twins, now 15 months old, be photographed out in public. But rather than taking them to a quaint shop near their home in Brignoles, France, they made the surprising decision to take them on a trip to the Middle East, where Angie was meeting with Iraqi refugees as part of her work with the United Nations.
On Oct. 2, the foursome stopped into Licky Licious ice cream shop in Amman, Jordan. "Brad tried almost all the flavors," co-owner Ihab Fakhouri tells Life & Style. "Angelina tried a couple and chose mango. Brad chose pecan with vanilla and caramel. They gave some to the twins as well! They were really well-behaved, happy babies."

Brad and Angie's family time in France

Brangelina941.jpgCan Shi and Z say fromage? Because cheese was definitely on the shopping list when Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their big girls -- Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3 -- hit the Jardin de Brignoles Market in Brignoles, France, on Sept. 22. "They seemed just like a normal family out buying groceries," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "Everyone was so happy and carefree. They bought fresh sausage, cheese, Pringles and fruit, and the two little girls were snacking on dates as they wandered through the aisles." The Jolie-Pitt clan, who are nestled in their $60 million chateau, are picking up the language too. "Angelina tried to speak a little French to the store manager," says the eyewitness. "Brad also likes trying out his French and said hello to someone outside the market."

Angelina Jolie: scary skinny!

939Jolie.jpg In her continuing effort to help those in need, Angelina Jolie made a humanitarian mission to a Somalian refugee camp on Sept. 12. But startling pictures of the actress' bone-thin body have left some people wondering if Angelina needs some help herself.

"Eat!" celebrity blogger Perez Hilton ordered her as scary-skinny comments spread like wildfire on the Internet. Angie's weight also came under attack on Web sites such as Popsugar.com and JustJared.com, with message board comments ranging from, "She is awesome, but man, she's skinnier than the refugees," to "Please stay home (wherever that is) and raise your kids and eat something."

In Life & Style Now: Inside Shiloh's World

937COVER.jpg
On Aug. 28, Angelina Jolie took 3-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt out for a special mommy-daughter day -- like any other parent-child duo. The difference? These two popped into the town of Ajaccio on the island of Corsica just for the day! There they chowed down at La Paninoteca Cinecitta Caffe. "They split a panini," a witness at the restaurant tells Life & Style about Shiloh and Angie's meal. "They were talking and seemed really happy to be out with each other."

The duo also stopped at the market, where they picked up a poodle push toy for Shiloh, another push toy for Shiloh's older sister, Zahara, 4, and a toy sword for her older brothers, Maddox, 8, and Pax, 5. And it's simply all in a day's work for this member of the self-described nomadic Jolie-Pitt clan.

But while a brief lunch in Corsica isn't a run-of-the-mill afternoon activity for a typical American girl, Shiloh is surprisingly well-adjusted. "She's so full of light and love -- she's just a little honey and very, very funny," Angelina, 34, has said. "I think I'm recognizing some of myself in that one -- she's going to be a little bit of trouble."

Brad and Angelina's family vacation album

Brangelina936.jpg Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have barely had time to breathe this summer. In June, Angie, 34, finished an exhausting shoot of the action movie Salt. Then she jetted off to Jordan and to visit refugees in war-torn Iraq. Brad, 45, then started his whirlwind publicity tour for Inglourious Basterds.

At last they're taking a much-needed vacation. But rather than relax at a resort, they're devoting themselves to their six children, giving them some precious (and rare) time with Mommy and Daddy. On Aug. 15, the family flew to France to stay at its 1,000-acre estate, Château Miraval. There they tried to put reports of relationship problems to rest. Says an onlooker who saw them over the next few days, "They were very happy."

Exclusive: Shiloh rescued a village of kids!

Shiloh935.jpgThe children attending the Okanimekwa school in Namibia have never seen an Angelina Jolie movie or read about her and Brad Pitt in magazines. Yet they're certain how they feel about the star. "She's a very special person, and we'll never forget her," 16-year-old student Emiliana Shikongo tells Life & Style. "She must be a holy person," adds another student, Andreas Kristofelius, 17. "I think Angelina Jolie must be a saint."

The reason for their adoration? Angelina changed the lives of the 589 children at the school -- along with thousands of other Namibians -- after giving birth to daughter Shiloh in the African nation in 2006. When Angie and Brad sold Shiloh's baby pictures, they said that the proceeds, a reported $4 million, would go to help children in Africa and other parts of the world.

Brad's most revealing interview ever

Brangelina934.jpgAngelina Jolie is famous for her candor in interviews, whether talking about her bisexuality or noting that being pregnant was "great for the sex life" and "makes you a lot more creative."

Brad Pitt, by contrast, keeps his personal life private. But when it came time to do an interview for the Aug. 9 issue of Parade magazine, he certainly didn't hold back. Taking reporter Dotson Rader on a tour of his West Los Angeles home -- much of which the star designed himself -- Brad paused by a hidden stone grotto. This, he confided, is "a great place for sex."On a more romantic note, when told he seems happy, the actor smiled and noted, "I have love in my life, a soul mate -- absolutely."

Angelina: 'The twins are walking!'

credit_-LANDOV.jpg Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins, who celebrated their first birthday on July 12, have reached a major milestone.

"The twins are great. They're walking," Angelina told Life & Style at last night's LA premiere of Brad's new movie, Inglorious Basterds.

Angelina, who wore a sexy black leather dress and was smiling from ear to ear as she walked the red carpet alongside Brad, couldn't help but brag about her beautiful children. "I hope to get all of my kids involved [in humanitarian efforts]. I hope to raise them properly so that they have a good conscience, and they're good people."

And what about expanding the Jolie-Pitt clan? "Angelina laughed off questions about whether she planned to have more children," says Life & Style's reporter.

Green Day fan: my run in with Brad Pitt!

BradPaxMaddox933.jpgBrad Pitt is one of Hollywood's top leading men, but at the Green Day concert in New Orleans on Aug. 7, he worried about his sons' hearing just like any other dad! Concertgoer Charlie Dunn gave Life & Style the details:

"Brad was so nice. He chatted with those of us who were sitting close to him and his sons before the show started. He'd gotten the boys, Maddox and Pax, some pictures and things of the band, and they were very excited. He mentioned that this was a birthday gift for Maddox, that he was a huge Green Day fan."

"Both boys had [hearing-protective] headphones but kept pulling them off, and Brad would tap them on the head, and they'd slide them back on," Charlie says. At one point, Charlie adds, Maddox took his off and hung them around his shoulders and Brad tapped him and mouthed "Your mother will kill me," and Mad laughed at him and put them back on.

Other than music, Brad is still passionate about his charity work in Louisiana. "I was talking to Brad about the progress [of his project] in New Orleans. It's a great thing," Charlie says. "He told me that he had spent the afternoon working on the Make It Right site. When I asked him how much time they'd be spending in New Orleans, he told me they were leaving first thing in the morning. He said he had a date he couldn't miss the next night."

Sure enough, on Saturday night Brad was spotted on a date with Angelina Jolie at Vincenti Ristorante in Los Angeles.

Exclusive: Angelina shows the babies!

BrangieTwins931.jpgTaking your kid to the pediatrician isn't exactly a fun day out. But families waiting to see Dr. Brenda Bass at her LA office on July 16 got a special surprise: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed up -- with their elusive 1-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne! "I was just leaving the office as Brad and Angelina and the kids turned up," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "Brad was wrangling the other kids, while Angie was carrying both twins. Angie told the receptionist they were there for the twins' one-year checkup."

The sighting was especially notable because the twins have been spotted out in public only one time since their birth in Nice, France, on July 12, 2008. As Life & Style has reported, the twins have both had digestive problems, and Vivienne has allergies, so Brad and Angie have kept them sheltered and indoors. On the day of the doctor's visit, "Angelina was holding the twins pretty tightly," the witness says, "but they looked like regular little babies."

Angelina's little princesses: wings, wands and tutus

Angelina&girls.jpgAngelina Jolie is giving two of her six children an early start in dancing. Angelina took her girls Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3, to a princess-themed ballet class at the Creation Station in Studio City, Calif., on July 6.

Studio owner Amy Kriegel tells Life & Style that her theater dance classes incorporate a Cinderella theme because of the popularity of Disney. "Many of the kids come in costume, and I have a whole closet full of stuff for them to wear too -- wings and wands, tutus, top hats and capes," she says.

A parent whose daughter took the class with the Jolie-Pitt girls tells Life & Style, "Zahara and Shiloh were so cute -- they were holding hands and sitting side-by-side. Zahara was a little more coordinated, and she was trying to help Shiloh. She was taking on the big-sister role!"

The eyewitness also praises Angelina for being a totally hands-on mother: "She was so encouraging to them -- you could see the light in her eyes when she was watching. I was trying not to stare, but she's just so gorgeous in person, even more than on the big screen."

In Life & Style now: Why Angelina is hiding the twins

927COVER.jpgNearly everywhere Angie and Brad have gone, their four oldest children -- Maddox, Pax and the boys' sisters, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 2 -- have been seen with them. Noticeably absent, however, have been the couple's two youngest kids, twins Vivienne and Knox, who'll turn 1 on July 12. In fact, the twins have been spotted in public only once since January: when they were rushed through an airport near Tokyo while being closely guarded by their parents. Since then, they've remained in hiding -- leading to speculation that something could be wrong.

Now Life & Style has learned that Brad and Angelina have been seriously concerned about the twins' health. The babies are suffering from serious digestive problems, says an insider close to the family. "They're both hypersensitive," the insider tells Life & Style. "Knox has trouble holding down his food. He spits up nearly every meal." Vivienne, meanwhile, has food and environmental allergies, explains the insider: "Right now, she's on a lactose and gluten-free diet, and she's still underweight."

Angelina, 34, and Brad, 45, have been so worried, they've had the twins undergo genetic testing and have been adamant about keeping them behind closed doors. In truth, the real reason Brad and Angelina have been reluctant to take the twins out has to do with their own fears, says the insider. "Because of their delicate state, Knox and Vivienne need to be kept away from anything they could possibly be allergic to," the insider explains. "That's a lot easier to do when they're home and in a controlled environment."

Life & Style exclusive: Angelina's dad thinks his daughter's sexy!

jon-voight-927.jpgJon Voight is no stranger to his daughter Angelina Jolie's sex appeal. In fact, he embraces it! When the veteran actor was asked at tonight's LA premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen about the similarities between Angelina and Transformers starlet Megan Fox, Jon had some choice words of wisdom! "Everybody is unique. They're both very beautiful and they're both kind of sexy gals," Jon tells Life & Style.

Jon, who has been estranged from Angelina for several years, also had advice for Megan. "Maybe Megan will start doing the things that Angie is so well known for. [Angie] is obviously known for her helping with kids and concern for others. I think that would be wonderful for all of the kids [if Megan were to do the same]. Megan can do a lot of good, so that would be great."
