Hip-hop's hardest-working couple, Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé Knowles, may soon be trading bottles of Cristal for baby formula. "The most important thing on the horizon [for Jay] seems to be a plan to have children with Knowles," Gotham magazine says in its November issue. "When [Gotham editor in chief Cristina Cuomo] asked him about having babies and a family, he said yes to that," a rep for Gotham tells Life & Style.

This isn't the first time the rapper, 39, has opened up about his dreams of fatherhood. "Most people want to have a family someday," he's said. "So I'm just a regular American boy."

In fact, those closest to Jay say he's been ready to start a family with Beyoncé, 28, whom he wed in an intimate rooftop ceremony at their New York City apartment building last year, from the get-go. "Jay wanted to marry B and make babies with her from practically the moment they met," an insider close to him tells Life & Style. "Jay has never hidden his desire for children. After Beyoncé agreed to marry Jay and before the wedding, he began referring to her as 'wifey' and 'my baby's mama.'"

Two of music's biggest divas, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, are joining forces for Beyoncé's upcoming single, "Video Phone." "On Oct. 7, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé were working on the video together at a studio in NYC," an insider reveals exclusively to Life & Style. "Everything on the set was being kept very hush-hush, and security was extremely tight."

Both Beyoncé, 28, and Lady Gaga, 23, are known for their showmanship and elaborate costumes, and this joint venture shouldn't disappoint. "In the video," says the insider, "Beyoncé wears a feathered dress. And of course Lady Gaga wears something wild. The fashion is sick and insane."

How much does Beyoncé spend on a manicure? $36,000! Sort of. "I designed a set of four nail rings for her that cost about $36,000," Bijules designer Jules Kim tells Life & Style about the snake-themed jewels the singer sports in her "Sweet Dreams" video. "I was commissioned to make something unique and special for her. She got a whole set of them. They're all encrusted in diamonds, and each snake has two rubies for eyes."
