Brad and Angelina: yes, we're together!

Brangie1007.jpgBrad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hadn't appeared in public since the British newspaper News of the World announced on Jan. 24 that they were splitting up. But the duo, who had skipped such esteemed awards shows as the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, apparently felt they couldn't afford to lie low and ignore the split rumors anymore.

So on Jan. 30, they decided to attend the 62nd Annual Director's Guild of America Awards to send a message: We are definitely still a couple. Sitting at a table with Brad's Inglourious Basterds director, Quentin Tarantino, Brad and Angie cuddled their way through the ceremony at LA's Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. "They laughed and joked," a fellow guest tells Life & Style. "There was plenty of affection and physical intimacy -- pats on the back, rubbing each other's arms. They seemed in good form."

And they got dolled up. Angelina wore a green Elie Saab gown and a partial updo by hairstylist David Babaii, while Brad sported a two-piece Tom Ford suit. But they didn't hit the red carpet together or pose for pictures as a couple, presumably to keep attention focused on the directors being honored.

Life & Style exclusive: The truth behind Brad and Angelina's split

Brangelina1006.jpgRumors of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's alleged $333 million deal to split have left everyone wondering if the superstar Hollywood couple really are breaking up. Life & Style can exclusively reveal the truth behind their meeting with an LA divorce lawyer: The unmarried couple met with a lawyer to prepare the equivalent of a prenuptial agreement -- not to split up!

"Brad and Angelina had a meeting with a top law firm in LA in December, where they worked out terms of a legal document similar to a prenup," an insider reveals exclusively to Life & Style. "The couple signed the document in early January. They agreed to share their money and assets and custody of their six children, all of whom would live with Angelina in the event of their parents' breakup."

But this doesn't mean they are ending their five-year relationship. "They didn't talk to the lawyer about splitting, nor was that ever mentioned at the meeting," the insider notes, adding that they were "snippy with each other" during the meeting. "Brad and Angelina aren't splitting right now," says a second insider close to the couple. "Will they be together forever as a couple? Probably not. It'll run its course, but I think they're fine -- for now."

Jennifer Aniston's revenge body!

1005-COVER.jpgShe wasn't nominated for a Golden Globe, but a stunning Jennifer Aniston definitely took home the award for sexiest appearance at the Jan. 17 ceremony. Wearing a black Valentino gown with a mile-high slit on the side, the screen siren took a page out of her rival Angelina Jolie's style book. And while Angelina and Brad Pitt decided not to attend the awards, their absence actually inspired Jen. "Jennifer decided to go for black and sexy for the awards only when she discovered that Angelina wasn't attending," an insider tells Life & Style. "An earlier choice had been a white asymmetrical Stella McCartney, since she didn't want to go head-to-head with Angelina and her trademark black."

Jen, 40, has been proudly showing off some killer curves -- while Angelina, 34, has looked worn out and nearly skeletal. Unlike Angelina, Jen has taken a balanced approach to maintaining -- and even improving -- her figure. Jen has done away with a regimented diet to maintain her fat-free form and is enjoying her food. "Jennifer was happy to emphasize her curves in direct contrast to Angie's skeletal look," says the insider.

Just three days before she poured her curves into a Valentino gown, Jen and five friends met at the Sunset Tower Hotel in LA, where they indulged in $30 flutes of Veuve Clicquot champagne, small plates and then a meal. "Jen joked that she didn't want to look like a blimp on Sunday," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. But as a devout yoga fan, Jen can certainly afford to take in a few more carbs. "She's been putting extra yoga hours in but has also upped her carb intake to create an altogether curvier look," says the insider.

Angelina and Jen: face-to-face again!

JenBradAngie1002.jpgIt was the moment everyone watching the 2009 Oscars had been waiting for. When Jennifer Aniston walked onstage to present an award, she stood just 12 feet from her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and her archrival, Angelina Jolie, who were sitting in the front row. Now, as Brad and Angie celebrate five years together, Jen will meet her fears once more. She was just announced as a presenter for the 2010 Golden Globes, taking place on Jan. 17 at the Beverly Hilton in LA. Brad and Angelina have attended the past two ceremonies together, and with Brad's movie Inglourious Basterds up for four awards, including best drama, the actor is sure to attend this year as well. "Jen can't wait to see them because she wants them to squirm," an insider close to Brad and Jen tells Life & Style.

Jen hasn't said which category she'll present, but at the Oscars, she announced best animated feature -- even though Angie's movie Kung Fu Panda was a nominee. So she wouldn't shy away from presenting the best drama -- setting up the chance to give the award to Brad's film! Even if such a tense moment comes to pass, Jen's not worried. "Believe me," the insider says, "she's really looking forward to this."

Jolie-Pitt New York City cocoa fest

brand&angie1001.jpgOn Dec. 20, the day after the first big snowfall of the year, the Jolie-Pitts found warmth in six hot chocolates at Café Metro in NYC, just one block from their hotel, the Waldorf Astoria.

The Jolie-Pitts are in town for reshoots of Angie's upcoming movie Salt. "Brad and Angie took their kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh to Café Metro," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "Brad ordered all six of them hot chocolate and paid with his credit card, leaving a $5 tip for the cashier. Pax was at the counter ordering with Dad as Angelina looked on lovingly from the table with the rest of the kids. They stayed for about 15 to 20 minutes."

The family, minus the twins Vivienne and Knox, were all bundled up and seemed to be enjoying one another's company very much. Shiloh's hip winter gear featured earmuffs and a black hat with a red skull and crossbones splashed across the front.

"Brad was being such a good dad and so loving and caring toward the children. They were just like a big happy family," the eyewitness adds.

Brad and Angelina's baby joy!

952Cover.jpgBrad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren't big on PDAs. So when Angie playfully grabbed at Brad's tux jacket, gazed at him lovingly and ran her fingers through his hair -- all while he planted soft kisses on her head -- everyone at the star-studded UNICEF ball knew something was up. In fact, what onlookers were witnessing on Dec. 10 in LA was the happiness of a couple trying for baby No. 7.

"Angelina decided about four months ago that she really wanted to try to get pregnant again," an insider reveals to Life & Style. "She basically told Brad that if it happens, it happens and that she wasn't going to concern herself with birth control. Angie's most at peace when a baby is coming." Just two months ago, Angie freely admitted to the British magazine Stylist her desire to expand the diverse Jolie-Pitt clan. "I can see further additions to the family -- both adopted and our own," she said.

Brad and Angelina celebrate their 5th Anniversary

951BRANGIE.jpgFor most couples, date night means dinner and a movie. But Brad Pitt went all out to impress Angelina Jolie on Saturday, Nov. 28. That day, Life & Style has learned exclusively, the star contacted Hollywood's private, ultra-luxurious Chateau Marmont hotel to arrange a surprise overnight stay for the couple. To keep the information from getting out -- and to keep Angie in the dark -- only top-level hotel staff members were informed.

"They checked in around 4 p.m. and were ushered straight to their poolside bungalow," says an insider at the hotel. "They were holding hands when they arrived, and Angie was really excited. She was like a kid -- she kept asking Brad what he was up to, and he just smiled knowingly. They looked like they were on a date -- they had no security with them, and they were incredibly relaxed."

What prompted such a deeply romantic evening for a couple who almost never go out by themselves? Their fifth anniversary! The couple fell in love while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, Angie's admitted.

Angelina and Johnny's steamy sex scenes

949cover.jpgTearing clothing in a frenzy, mounting countertops, thrusting against walls and ending up breathless on a debris-strewn floor: The chemistry was undeniable during Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's sex scene in 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Things got so hot and heavy, Brad soon split from wife Jennifer Aniston and found himself in Angie's arms in real life.

But their on-screen coupling could seem tame compared with Angelina's steamy turn in the upcoming film The Tourist. Life & Style has obtained a draft of writer Julian Fellowes' screenplay and can reveal that things get positively scorching between the actress, who is set to play Interpol agent Cara Mason, and her new leading man.

So who's the lucky guy? Ultimate Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp is taking on the role of Frank Taylor, an American tourist whom Angie's character uses to get what she wants, according to Variety. When Johnny, 46, signs on, he and Angie, 34, will be filming their torrid sex scenes by February.

"The outline of her naked body is visible in the shower," the script teases, describing one provocative dream sequence. "Frank walks to the shower and opens the glass door. Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardor, wrapping her dripping legs around his back."

Two of Hollywood's hottest stars in a thriller full of sexual tension, lustful lip-locks, public undressing and cleavage caressing? This flick, slated for a 2011 release, will clearly have viewers getting hot and bothered.

Brad turns down $5 million

Brad948.jpgIn another show of support for Angie, Brad declined an invitation to the Oct. 31 Grand Prix Ball Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates -- and the $5 million payday that came with it. Instead he opted to stay in LA to trick-or-treat (dressed as DJ Lance Rock from the children's show Yo Gabba Gabba!) with Angelina and the kids on Oct. 31.

"He's spending more time with the family and doing less of these appearances, even though it's a huge sum of cash," says an insider. James Magee, a rep for Global Event Management, confirms that Brad was expected at the affair. "We were told he would be attending as the guest of the Tourism Development & Investment Company," Magee tells Life & Style.

"But he was a no-show, and nobody seemed to know why." The ball, which helped raise money for the clean-water charity Fresh2o, was the culmination of a three-day event celebrating Formula One racing. Festivities (left) featured performances by superstars such as Beyoncé, Aerosmith and Timbaland.

Is Angelina a total fake?

947COVER.jpgSome big news broke for movie junkies on Nov. 4: Johnny Depp is in talks to join Angelina Jolie in the sexy spy thriller The Tourist. It will be the first time the duo have ever worked together. But the news was even more surprising because it completely contradicted a promise Angelina had made just weeks earlier. In an interview in the October issue of the British magazine Stylist, she said she intended to take a break from acting in part to focus on being a full-time mom to her six young children with Brad Pitt. "Maybe a film a year or every other year, and then I'll phase things out."

Instead, she signed on for The Tourist, and she's also in talks to play a femme fatale in the fashion-dynasty drama Gucci. Of course, Angelina's entitled to change her mind -- but this marks the third time she's publicly proclaimed her intent to take time off to care for her children. Each time, she signs up for a new movie soon after, leaving Brad to do single-dad duty while she hits the movie set.

Brad: 'Angie's going to kill me!'

Brad-Pitt945.jpgAfter Brad Pitt bumped into another vehicle while riding one of his motorcycles in LA on Oct. 24, the star's biggest concern wasn't the damaged bike or the scratches on the other car -- it was how angry his partner, Angelina Jolie, would be when she found out about the accident. After the incident, Brad sought refuge in a nearby apartment complex. "He told the building manager that Angie was going to kill him because she thinks motorcycles are too dangerous," building resident Talia Schwartz reveals to Life & Style.

The mishap occurred when Brad tried to squeeze his custom-made bike between two cars that were stopped in traffic. "He misjudged the space between the cars, and it was just a hair too small to fit his bike," an eyewitness tells Life & Style.

Angelina: I want even more babies!

943cover.jpgDuring her recent United Nations trip to Syria to meet with refugee families, Angelina Jolie let a secret slip about how overwhelming her own kids can be. Faced with a mother embarrassed that her five children were out of control, U.N. rep Dalia Al-Achi tells Life & Style, "Angelina told the mom that her children are even naughtier!"
Raising six kids under the age of 9 is a difficult task, and Angie herself admits that life is
"absolute chaos at times." Which makes her statements in a new interview all the more shocking: For the first time, she's confirmed that she and Brad Pitt, 45, plan to adopt again -- and have another biological child.

"I can see further additions to the family -- both adopted and our own," Angelina, 34, tells the British magazine Stylist in its October issue.
Brad and Angie plan to add two more children, if not more, to their family, confirms an insider close to the couple. "They want one more biological baby and an adopted baby -- for now," the insider says. "But who knows what the future holds. Some people get addicted to drugs and alcohol, but Brad and Angie are addicted to children."

Why the need to adopt again? Angelina's work as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees exposes her to children mired in poverty and war worldwide, and she's motivated by a noble impulse to help. In Syria, the U.N.'s Al-Achi tells Life & Style, "Angelina and Brad both took time to play around with the children they visited." But their desperate desire to save needy kids comes at the expense of the six they already have.

"Rescuing children out of third world countries is wonderful, but it's very stressful each time another person who has his or her own needs and demands and who's also competing for attention and love is brought into a family," says psycho therapist Jenn Berman, author of The A to Z Guide to Raising Happy, Confident Kids.

And Angelina clearly realizes that she's being stretched too thin. "We have to make sure we can devote enough time to each of them," she tells Stylist, referring to Maddox, 8, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and 15-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne. "There's always one of ours demanding that I help color in something very important with crayons."

Brad and Angelina take the twins to the Middle East

942BRANGIE.jpg Since their twins were born on July 12, 2008, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have carefully kept them hidden away. After a brief appearance at a Tokyo airport in January, Knox and Vivienne practically disappeared from sight.
Until now. For only the second time ever, Brad and Angelina let the twins, now 15 months old, be photographed out in public. But rather than taking them to a quaint shop near their home in Brignoles, France, they made the surprising decision to take them on a trip to the Middle East, where Angie was meeting with Iraqi refugees as part of her work with the United Nations.
On Oct. 2, the foursome stopped into Licky Licious ice cream shop in Amman, Jordan. "Brad tried almost all the flavors," co-owner Ihab Fakhouri tells Life & Style. "Angelina tried a couple and chose mango. Brad chose pecan with vanilla and caramel. They gave some to the twins as well! They were really well-behaved, happy babies."

Brad and Angie's family time in France

Brangelina941.jpgCan Shi and Z say fromage? Because cheese was definitely on the shopping list when Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their big girls -- Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3 -- hit the Jardin de Brignoles Market in Brignoles, France, on Sept. 22. "They seemed just like a normal family out buying groceries," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "Everyone was so happy and carefree. They bought fresh sausage, cheese, Pringles and fruit, and the two little girls were snacking on dates as they wandered through the aisles." The Jolie-Pitt clan, who are nestled in their $60 million chateau, are picking up the language too. "Angelina tried to speak a little French to the store manager," says the eyewitness. "Brad also likes trying out his French and said hello to someone outside the market."

Jennifer Aniston: I want a baby now

Aniston940.jpgFor years, Jennifer Aniston has spoken openly of her longing to be a mom. When reports emerged that the reason for her divorce from Brad Pitt was that she wasn't ready to start a family, she angrily insisted it wasn't true. And after playing a mother in 2008's Marley & Me, she said she couldn't wait for the real thing. "I feel like that's in my future and I'm on the verge of it in some way," she said.

But now she's gone further than ever before. On Access Hollywood on Sept. 15, Billy Bush brought up Jen's next movie, 2010's The Baster, in which the star plays a woman who opts for artificial insemination to have a baby. Asked whether that's in the cards for her, Jen didn't hold back: "I'm ready for anything -- bring it on!" she responded.

Brad and Angelina's family vacation album

Brangelina936.jpg Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have barely had time to breathe this summer. In June, Angie, 34, finished an exhausting shoot of the action movie Salt. Then she jetted off to Jordan and to visit refugees in war-torn Iraq. Brad, 45, then started his whirlwind publicity tour for Inglourious Basterds.

At last they're taking a much-needed vacation. But rather than relax at a resort, they're devoting themselves to their six children, giving them some precious (and rare) time with Mommy and Daddy. On Aug. 15, the family flew to France to stay at its 1,000-acre estate, Château Miraval. There they tried to put reports of relationship problems to rest. Says an onlooker who saw them over the next few days, "They were very happy."

Exclusive: Shiloh rescued a village of kids!

Shiloh935.jpgThe children attending the Okanimekwa school in Namibia have never seen an Angelina Jolie movie or read about her and Brad Pitt in magazines. Yet they're certain how they feel about the star. "She's a very special person, and we'll never forget her," 16-year-old student Emiliana Shikongo tells Life & Style. "She must be a holy person," adds another student, Andreas Kristofelius, 17. "I think Angelina Jolie must be a saint."

The reason for their adoration? Angelina changed the lives of the 589 children at the school -- along with thousands of other Namibians -- after giving birth to daughter Shiloh in the African nation in 2006. When Angie and Brad sold Shiloh's baby pictures, they said that the proceeds, a reported $4 million, would go to help children in Africa and other parts of the world.

Brad's most revealing interview ever

Brangelina934.jpgAngelina Jolie is famous for her candor in interviews, whether talking about her bisexuality or noting that being pregnant was "great for the sex life" and "makes you a lot more creative."

Brad Pitt, by contrast, keeps his personal life private. But when it came time to do an interview for the Aug. 9 issue of Parade magazine, he certainly didn't hold back. Taking reporter Dotson Rader on a tour of his West Los Angeles home -- much of which the star designed himself -- Brad paused by a hidden stone grotto. This, he confided, is "a great place for sex."On a more romantic note, when told he seems happy, the actor smiled and noted, "I have love in my life, a soul mate -- absolutely."

Angelina: 'The twins are walking!'

credit_-LANDOV.jpg Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins, who celebrated their first birthday on July 12, have reached a major milestone.

"The twins are great. They're walking," Angelina told Life & Style at last night's LA premiere of Brad's new movie, Inglorious Basterds.

Angelina, who wore a sexy black leather dress and was smiling from ear to ear as she walked the red carpet alongside Brad, couldn't help but brag about her beautiful children. "I hope to get all of my kids involved [in humanitarian efforts]. I hope to raise them properly so that they have a good conscience, and they're good people."

And what about expanding the Jolie-Pitt clan? "Angelina laughed off questions about whether she planned to have more children," says Life & Style's reporter.

Green Day fan: my run in with Brad Pitt!

BradPaxMaddox933.jpgBrad Pitt is one of Hollywood's top leading men, but at the Green Day concert in New Orleans on Aug. 7, he worried about his sons' hearing just like any other dad! Concertgoer Charlie Dunn gave Life & Style the details:

"Brad was so nice. He chatted with those of us who were sitting close to him and his sons before the show started. He'd gotten the boys, Maddox and Pax, some pictures and things of the band, and they were very excited. He mentioned that this was a birthday gift for Maddox, that he was a huge Green Day fan."

"Both boys had [hearing-protective] headphones but kept pulling them off, and Brad would tap them on the head, and they'd slide them back on," Charlie says. At one point, Charlie adds, Maddox took his off and hung them around his shoulders and Brad tapped him and mouthed "Your mother will kill me," and Mad laughed at him and put them back on.

Other than music, Brad is still passionate about his charity work in Louisiana. "I was talking to Brad about the progress [of his project] in New Orleans. It's a great thing," Charlie says. "He told me that he had spent the afternoon working on the Make It Right site. When I asked him how much time they'd be spending in New Orleans, he told me they were leaving first thing in the morning. He said he had a date he couldn't miss the next night."

Sure enough, on Saturday night Brad was spotted on a date with Angelina Jolie at Vincenti Ristorante in Los Angeles.
