After traveling the globe for months, most people would be thrilled to sleep in their own bed. But Britney Spears, who recently wrapped her Circus tour, has been ditching her LA home for the swanky Mondrian hotel. "She said she misses the environment of a busy hotel when she stops touring," an insider tells Life & Style, noting that Brit has been constantly spotted in the hotel in the past two months. "She seems to love having people around her. She's friendly and interested in everybody -- she started talking to one guest and even jokingly offered to sing at the woman's wedding!"

One perk of hotel living: the Mondrian's Agua Spa and fitness center, where the pop star has been logging some serious time. "She ran on the treadmill for about an hour and did sit-ups for about 15 minutes straight," celebrity publicist Todd Shapiro, who spotted Brit in the gym on Jan. 5, tells Life & Style. Another insider reveals that Brit has been able to mix some fun into her workouts. "She's obsessed with Family Guy and was doing Stewie impressions in the gym," says the insider. "She even ordered chicken wings to be delivered to the gym, which raised eyebrows. She asked to replace the buffalo sauce with sweet chili."

Strolling around Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens in Australia, Britney Spears appeared happier than she has in years. And no wonder: She had her sons, Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, and her agent turned boyfriend, Jason Trawick, by her side.

But for Britney, 27, one thing would truly make her family complete: another baby -- with Jason. "Britney and Jason have been talking a lot lately about having kids," reveals a Spears family insider. "She's madly in love with her boys, but she'd love to have a little girl."

Jason, 37, is on the same page. "He can't wait to have kids," the insider says. "He's amazing with Britney's sons, and he's not a partyer or a player. He loves Britney and wants to start a life with her, so she doesn't have any fears about him as a daddy."

Britney Spears has always had a major impulsive streak, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Case in point: her impromptu marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander, whom she wed in the wee hours of the morning at a Las Vegas chapel in January 2004 -- only to have the union annulled 55 hours later. Then came her second nuptials a mere nine months after that. Guests who arrived at the Sept. 18 gathering thought they were attending a party -- before being informed they were, in fact, at Britney's wedding to Kevin Federline. That marriage ended nearly two years to the day later.

But two failed marriages don't seem to have dampened Britney's dream of one day tying the knot and making it stick. Which is why her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, weren't at all surprised when their eldest daughter, 27, recently approached them to discuss marrying her latest boyfriend: her agent, Jason Trawick.

Shortly before a mid-October jaunt to Mexico with Jason and her two sons -- Sean, 4, and Jayden, 3 -- Britney excitedly shared her idea with her mom and dad. "Britney told Jamie and Lynne she wants to marry Jason," a family insider tells Life & Style. Their reaction? "Her parents weren't shocked," the insider says. But they're concerned. "They're worried Britney is confusing close friendship with romance," adds the insider.

Britney Spears' Circus tour is on hiatus until November, but the pop star clearly hasn't put her body-shaping regimen on hold. "She looked fabulous," says an eyewitness who saw Britney with her boys, dad Jamie and her on-again beau, Jason Trawick, at the Tides Zihuatanejo hotel in Mexico on Oct. 18. "She looked very toned and very, very fit."

But there's more behind her body than a workout routine. Britney, 27, is also finally in a stress-free place in her life -- and making time for herself. "Britney was sleeping only two to four hours a night for the longest time, but she's gotten that under control," says an insider. "Now she's getting eight hours a night -- and is drinking a ton of water and eating three normal meals a day."

So normal that she doesn't even have to deprive herself. "Britney still eats cheese grits for breakfast, but she does it in moderation," says the insider, who adds that barbecue chicken, sweet potatoes and spinach salad are also part of the menu. "She drinks protein shakes and snacks on the dried fruit and nuts from Starbucks with her coffee."

Britney Spears may have a new hairstyle, but she's back to partying with old friends. On Aug. 2, Britney showed up after 2 a.m. at Full Frontal at The Grand Star Jazz Club in LA, where she danced and chatted with Lindsay Lohan. Friends from Andy LeCompte's hair salon, where Britney got her new blond 'do earlier that day, joined the girls.

An insider tells Life & Style, "There was no craziness, just a lot of fun and dancing."

Britney and Lindsay stayed until the club closed, around 3 a.m. Lindsay tells Life & Style, "It was such fun!"

When Britney Spears hit the beach in the Bahamas on May 20, one thing became clear -- her body is back in top bikini-baring shape!

Britney, 27, "can be lax with her dieting," explains a family insider, who says the star is basically relying on dancing onstage to keep her fit. "She indulges in comfort food and fast food and then retains water."

But she also notices when her body-hugging costumes are bulging and promptly switches to weight-loss mode. "When the bloat's showing," says the insider, "she starts watching what she eats, cutting back on sodium-heavy food and caffeinated drinks to get things under control."

Britney Spears acted like a New Jersey native yesterday, making a pit stop at the Mall at Short Hills on March 25. With her mom, Lynne, and two bodyguards in tow, Britney spent a few hours shopping and eating at the upscale mall, which includes stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Gucci and Jimmy Choo.

Britney hit the Guess store, an employee tells Life & Style. "Britney was in the store for around 45 minutes and was dancing around while trying on clothes. She bought a few Marciano shirts and dresses and actually left in something I picked out for her."

Other mall employees say Brit also shopped in Charles David and Bebe, and posed for pictures with fans in Bloomingdale's.

All that shopping must have made her hungry, since she stopped at classic diner-style restaurant Johnny Rockets, where she sampled a little of everything but settled for some milk shakes and chili fries. "She was having a blast," a server tells Life & Style. "She was cheering on the waiters while they were singing and dancing."

A new private investigator is working on the case against Britney Spears' former pal and manager, Sam Lutfi, Life & Style can exclusively report.

Tri-Valley Investigations, based in Newhall, Calif., is trying to get a profile of Sam, who already must stay at least 250 yards from Britney under terms of a restraining order against him. "They want to talk to anyone who has met Sam or knows him," an insider tells Life & Style. "They want anything they can get to make him look shady."

"I am working on the Sam Lutfi case," the founder of Tri-Valley Investigations, Cookie Schwartz, confirmed to Life & Style.

Britney Spears is a step closer to moving into her new house in the Oaks of Calabasas, an exclusive gated community in Calabasas, Calif. It passed the toddler test. "I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it!" the 27-year-old singer posted on her Web site, BritneySpears.com, on Jan. 13.

The sprawling 10,000-square-foot mansion — named Château Sueños, or House of Dreams — boasts seven bedrooms and nine baths, a Venetian-plastered wine cellar, a two-story octagonal library with private office, a bar, fireplace, private guest
quarters with elevator, a four-car garage with two auto lifts, and a master-bath suite featuring a sauna and a balcony that spans the rear of the estate. Most important, Britney will have privacy — the house is situ­ated two miles from the Oaks' main entrance.

"She'll be able to live her life in peace and quite," neighbor Nancy Aspaugh tells Life & Style.

Says Brit, "I can't wait to move in!"

Police cars and ambulances rushed to Britney Spears' house last January, when the 27-year-old singer suffered a mental breakdown and had to be hospitalized. A year later, the only vehicles coming to get her are moving vans. "She's finally leaving her house at the Summit in Beverly Hills," reveals a Spears family insider. "It's where she had her meltdown, so she wants a fresh start."

Britney's new home — free of all the painful memories — is in Calabasas, Calif., about 25 miles from Beverly Hills, says the insider, who adds that Britney paid almost $10 million for the roughly 10,000-square-foot pad, named Chateau Suenos — or House of Dreams.

"She's hoping her dreams do come true here," says the insider.

"I love it to death!" Shar tells Life & Style. "It's such a bad song; it's so awesome."

So no hard feelings over the fact that Kevin Federline, father of Shar's kids Kori, 6, and Kaleb, 4, left her for Brit? "I wish her the best," Shar says. "She looks like she's good. She looks healthy, and I'm proud of her."

And Shar also approves of Victoria Prince, Kevin's new 6-foot-2 girlfriend. "I met her, I said, 'Hello, how are you?' She seems like a nice girl, so hopefully it will work out."

But it may be some time before Victoria gets to meet the kids. "That¹s one of the ways that we really do respect each other," Shar tells Life & Style. "If I decide to date someone, it will be a while before my kids meet that person, and it's the same with Kevin."

When it comes to regaining her self-confidence, Britney Spears has a new secret weapon. The pop star — who's been slowly reclimbing to the top since her mental collapse in January 2008 — has been spotted recently wearing a Dara Dubinet tourmaline ring, which the celebrity designer says helps boost inner strength and provides a sense of stability.

"I made the ring with Britney in mind," Dubinet reveals exclusively to Life & Style. "When something is made with good intention, it carries that positive energy to the person who ends up wearing it."

Britney Spears says she doesn't like the word "comeback," but in 2008 the chart-topping singer certainly made one. And the most dramatic part of her return to the spotlight was the 20- to 25-pound weight loss that made the star's body look as toned as it did a decade ago.

Yet Brit, 27, didn't really mind dancing for two to four hours every day to get her 5-foot-4 body burning fat. "To me, dancing doesn't feel like exercise," Britney has told Life & Style. "I love it, and I'm always happy when I'm done."

The 6-foot-two Victoria spent six months waiting tables at Houston's restaurant in Manhattan Beach before she left to play professional beach volleyball — and she made an impression. "She's really smart and witty," the insider says. "She's a strong and independent woman, and always wears the pants in her relationship."

The insider adds: "I hope Kevin can handle her! She's pretty hardheaded. She's not afraid to speak her mind, even if it means insulting someone."

The coworker was shocked when Victoria revealed that she was dating Kevin. "He
isn¹t really her type," the insider says. "Most of the guys she's dated were athletes who led a really healthy, low-key lifestyle. But she's really into the whole hip-hop scene, so I think that's why she was drawn to Kevin."

"Victoria is nothing like Britney Spears! She's the opposite of glam — she's a total tomboy. The only thing she has in common with Britney is that she loves to dance, too."

For Britney Spears, a December trip to perform in Japan should have been a triumphant moment in her comeback. Instead, it turned into a terrifying ordeal.

"She was in pieces because it was such a long flight," says a Spears family insider.

In order to cope with her crippling fear, the 27-year-old pop star -- who's already on various medications, including antianxiety drugs, to cope with her reported bipolar disorder -- took sleeping pills to help her rest through the flight, the family insider says.

Britney Spears is moving on from longtime choreographers Wade Robson (left) and Andre Fuentes, the duo who successfully launched her comeback with appearances in Europe, Japan and on U.S. TV, Life & Style has learned.

"Wade and Andre were only hired to choreograph the promotional tour for Circus, which ended in Japan last week," an insider tells Life & Style.

Wade directed Brit's dance moves for her first big U.S. tour in 1999, and André has worked with Britney since her 1998 L'Oréal Hair Zone Mall Tour.

There's no word yet who will replace the pair. But we're sure Brit will have somebody on board soon!

Britney Spears' first husband, Jason Alexander, will probably spend more time behind bars than he did married to the pop tart.

Jason, 27, a childhood friend of Brit's whom she married in Las Vegas in 2004 — followed 55 hours later by an annulment — has started serving a 10-day sentence for failing to complete a court-ordered alcohol rehab program for a 2006 DUI arrest. Part of the rehab, according to news sources, required Jason to visit a local morgue; after he blew off two appointments, a Los Angeles County Court judge refused to give him a third chance.
