Not only will George Clooney return as Dr. Doug Ross for one final episode of ER, he'll be joined by Julianna Margulies, who played love interest Nurse Carol Hathaway, Life & Style has learned.

The two will film their scenes tomorrow and Friday at the Warner Bros. set in LA.

A show insider tells Life & Style that the return of the two original cast members has caused quite a buzz on the set. "They are the last two of the original cast to make one last appearance," the insider says. "It's part of an effort to wrap up all of the original characters' story lines."

George and Julianna's episode is expected to air at the end of February during sweeps week, the insider tells Life & Style.

It took a lot of time — almost a year! — and a whole lot of effort, but Ellen DeGeneres has finally persuaded George Clooney to appear on her show.

Ellen began pursuing George after The Ellen DeGeneres Show moved to the Warner Bros. lot earlier this season and she discovered that George's office is nearby. She tried everything to get his attention, sending over guests, Victoria's Secret models, a marching band, even, at Brad Pitt's suggestion, a group of Chippendale's dancers . But it was to no avail.

What finally changed his mind? At the urging of George's former ER co-star Noah Wylie, Ellen invited baseball Hall of Famers Joe Morgan (left) and Johnny Bench to appear in the same episode. And George, a big baseball fan, couldn't resist.

He (and Morgan and Bench) will be on Monday's show.

When Paris Hilton sat beside George Clooney at Hollywood hot spot Dan Tana's on Dec. 20, it just looked like a bizarre business meeting. After all, the duo were joined for dinner by a group that included director Ridley Scott, Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel and Brittany Flickinger, the winner of Paris' BFF reality show. "It was an odd group for a dinner party," notes an onlooker.

But it wasn't the first time the heartthrob and the heiress had been out together. Life & Style has learned exclusively that the night before, George, 47, and Paris, 27, had a far more intimate meeting at the Whiskey Bar at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.
