Katherine Heigl is one of TV's biggest names, but the Grey's Anatomy star was noticeably absent from this year's Emmy Awards. Of course, she had a great excuse. Just days earlier, Katherine and her hubby, musician Josh Kelley, welcomed home their first bundle of joy: Nancy Leigh, a 10-month-old baby girl they've nicknamed Naleigh.

On the red carpet at the Emmys, Grey's co-star Chandra Wilson said Katherine and Josh were elated about the new addition to their family. "They're so in love," Chandra told Life & Style. "They're over the moon."

Chandra also told Life & Style that Naleigh arrived from South Korea earlier than expected because she's a special-needs baby. And while Katherine hasn't shared the exact details of her daughter's medical condition yet, Chandra said Naleigh's delicate status expedited the adoption process. "They want to make sure these babies are taken care of," Chandra said.

Meet Nancy Leigh Kelley, Grey's Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley's newly adopted daughter.

This afternoon, the happy couple released their first family photo with the 10-month old girl, nicknamed Naleigh, whom they adopted from South Korea. More photos can be seen on Katherine's animal-rescue foundation's Web site.

Naleigh is named for Katherine's mother Nancy and Katherine's sister Margaret Leigh.
