Katie Holmes has been spotted arriving -- in dance clothes -- at the So You Think You Can Dance studios in LA, confirming Life & Style's exclusive report that Katie is working with the popular dance show.

Life & Style reported exclusively last week that Katie had been talking to the show's producer Nigel Lythgoe about doing a special performance. Then yesterday Katie turned up at CBS Studios, where the show is filmed in front of a live audience.

Insiders tell Life & Style that Katie has been in intense rehearsals either for a performance this season or next.

They say Katie is working on a slinky Broadway-inspired number.

Nigel also turned up at CBS Studios Saturday, telling X17online, "I'm going to have a meeting [with Katie]."

Questioned about whether he's planning anything big in the near future, Nigel said, "Something very, very, very special."

Katie Holmes has recently been spotted going to LA-area dance studios several times a week. But up until now, what Katie was rehearsing for was a mystery. However, Life & Style has learned exclusively that Katie is in serious talks to make a special performance on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance! "She's met with judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe and everyone hopes she appears on this season or next season of the show," a show insider tells Life & Style. Here's to hoping that all her practice pays off!

Walking from her trailer to the set of her new movie, The Extra Man, in downtown NYC on March 5, Katie Holmes didn't bother stopping for a bite. But she did pause when a reporter from Life & Style asked her about her favorite NYC restaurants. At the moment, the answer appears to be none. "As you can see," Katie said, holding up a drink, "I'm on my liquid diet right now." That afternoon, she began a five-hour film shoot at Stand, a neighborhood burger joint, that went until 9 p.m.

Though there were plenty of breaks, Katie, 30, didn't once indulge in solid food, according to the restaurant's manager, Peejay Bodoy. "I was shocked at how skinny she was," Bodoy tells Life & Style. "During the entire time she was here, I did not see her eat anything -- not a morsel. After five or so hours, I would have been famished!"

But Katie, who's looked shockingly sallow and thin lately, may be learning to live with hunger. New reports claim the star is on a Scientology-dictated detox diet known as a purification rundown -- and it may be leaving her miserable and even malnourished. If Katie is participating in the practice, it could be to prepare her body for another baby. Scientology researcher Rick Ross also suspects it's at the urging of her husband, Tom Cruise, a longtime devotee of Scientology and one of its most powerful leaders. "Tom may be telling her it's good for her, that there's some reason she needs to be doing it," Ross tells Life & Style.

She hasn't even turned 3 yet, but Suri Cruise already seems to have a life most grown-ups only dream of. Her home in LA is a castle befitting a Hollywood princess -- a $35 million 10,000-square-foot mansion complete with a pool, tennis court, movie theater and private playground for her to enjoy.

But Suri hasn't spent much time there since her April 2006 birth. Instead, she's been busy jet-setting around the world with her famous parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. In the first weeks of 2009 alone, her family has already spent time on three different continents -- giving Suri little chance to get used to one place or make any real friends.

Two-year-old Suri Cruise got another stamp on her already crowded passport when her parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, took her to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Jan. 30 for some family fun! And it was a much-needed vacation: Katie just ended her four-month run on Broadway in All My Sons, and Tom has been busy promoting his movie Valkyrie.

But Katie definitely had all of Tom's attention when they left Suri with a sitter and had date night at Sushi Leblon. While dining on sushi may put to rest the rumors that Katie's pregnant again, the insider says Suri should expect a sibling at some point. "They definitely want another baby," says the insider.

When Katie Holmes appeared last night in the official Broadway opening of Arthur Miller's All My Sons, she already had her opening-night gift. Almost as soon as she arrived in NYC, Katie started sporting a glittering cross around her neck--and Life & Style can exclusively report that it was a present from her husband, Tom Cruise.
"Tom gave it to her to congratulate her on the play," Katie's rep tells Life & Style. "It was a gift from her husband."
