It's been a rocky road, but Candy and Tori Spelling are finally putting an end to the years-long rift that tore their family apart. "Yes, we're communicating," Candy says, confirming to Life & Style that she and her daughter have gotten past the feud that escalated after the death of Tori's father, legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling. "I'm very happy to say that we've taken it to where I think she and I both want it."

Still, a loving mother-daughter relationship may be a long way off, an insider close to the family notes. Tori, 36, is allowed to visit the mansion where her mother lives, "but only if Candy is notified first," the insider tells Life & Style. But for now, things are clearly improving. On Dec. 2, Candy, 64, spoke with Life & Style about moving forward with her family.

Candy Spelling confirms exclusively to Life & Style that she and her daughter Tori are mending their relationship after a three-year-long feud. "I'm very happy to say that Tori and I have taken it to where I think we both want it," Candy tells Life & Style. "We are communicating."

The public feud started on Tori's 2006 VH1 sitcom So NoTORIous and the fighting only intensified after patriarch Aaron Spelling's June 2006 passing.

So what sparked the long-awaited reunion? In September, they were both suffering from health issues: Tori, 36, had a stomach condition while Candy, 64, underwent back surgery. "She was in the hospital when I was in the hospital," Candy explains.

Now Candy, who stars in E!'s new reality series, Bank of Hollywood, which premieres Dec. 14, had even more incentive to make a speedy recovery -- finally coming face-to-face with her 18-month-old granddaughter. "I did meet Stella," Candy continues. "Stella and Liam [Tori's 2-year-old son] came over to my house, and then shortly after they went on a road trip. But I'm anxiously waiting for them to come back again."

Actress Tori Spelling is calling all boys and girls who are size 18 months to enter a modeling contest for her clothing site littlemaven.com via her Twitter!

The lucky winner will be featured on Tori's clothing Web site, LittleMaven.com, alongside Tori's two children, Liam and Stella, and also win a gift certificate to purchase some of Little Maven's cutest apparel.

Tori launched Little Maven over the summer; the actress has said that her inspiration for the line was that she realized "the need for inspired yet accessible clothing for infants and toddlers."

Tori Spelling expected an intimate dinner for her birthday on May 16, but her husband, Dean McDermott, had other plans: a surprise party!

"Dean threw a surprise birthday party for Tori at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica," an eyewtiness tells Life & Style. "He rented a poolside cabana for 20 people. She had absolutely no idea it was happening until she got there! Dean got a big birthday cake (above) made that had a picture of Tori surrounded by hearts."

And it seems the birthday girl enjoyed her party! "Tori looked very happy and was super nice to everyone. She looked lovely in a long pale-blue-and-cream dress and flip flops," says the eyewitness.
