Just hours ago, J-14 caught up with Taylor at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party, where he shared his favorite memory in J-14's exclusive series, "When I Was 14..."
J-14 just hung out with Degrassi's Melinda Shankar (she plays Alli) and Sam Earle (KC)! The two flew down to New York City from Toronto for Nickelodeon's World Wide Day of Play. Nick is shutting off their programming from noon until 3 p.m. to encourage everyone to get outside!
To celebrate, Sean Kingston will be performing, and Melinda and Sam get to introduce him to the crowd. "I am so excited to meet Sean because I hear he's really nice!" Melinda tells J-14.
They may be TV stars, but Melinda and Sam enjoy spending time being active, too. "Since I was 3, I've been doing ballet and karate. I know it sounds like an awful mix, but somehow they help each other out! That's how I get out there and active," Melinda reveals. And Sam loves sports too -- he's played hockey since he was a kid, and he shocked Melinda by revealing that he took dance lessons as a little kid, too!
They're not the only stars getting in on the action -- Victoria Justice and True Jackson, VP's Keke Palmer are so excited for tomorrow that they also made an exclusive video just for J-14!
What do you do to get active? Will you be shutting off your TV tomorrow?

Taylor Swift sparkled as she glided down the red carpet at the MTV VMAs tonight in a sparkly silver dress. She didn't have time to stop and chat before her big night, but Taylor always makes time for J-14 as you'll see! (Awww... that's just one of the many reasons we love her!)
In the photo above, Jenny (Kay) and Marco (Asher) share a sweet moment... and in the one below, Jenny and Joy (Anna Maria) kick back in class. We were on the set as Kay and Asher shared a dramatic scene... and boy did it get intense!
On Tuesday, September 8, J-14 will be debuting two EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS from the upcoming movie Fame that you won't be able to see anywhere else... ONLY on j14.com.
J-14 was so psyched to see Dance Flick this weekend, that we just had to talk to Cheslea Makela all about it! Check out what she has to say about the flick -- out now!
J-14: For those who haven't seen it, can you tell us what Dance Flick is about? Chelsea: Dance Flick is a comedy based on dance and musical movies that you've seen in the past -- it goes back as far as the 80's. It's about two people, Megan White and Thomas Uncles -- Megan helps Thomas and his friends in the biggest dance battle ever, and I play Tracy, one of Megan's friends.
J-14: What's Tracy like? Are you similar to her? Chelsea: Tracy is the character from Hairspray. She's socially awkward, bubbly, and happy -- just excited to be a part of the group. I'd say I'm very upbeat like her. That's what they liked about be, that naturally I'm a very happy person, so it wasn't a big switch for me to go into character.
J-14: How did you prepare for your audition? Chelsea: I didn't know it was a dance movie at the time and I didn't know my character's real name -- I was given a false name. I had no idea why they had asked me to dance, but I did it. I remember Marlon [Wayans] being like, "Do ballet or tap or something," and they turned on DMX or some 90's or 80's street rap music!
J-14: What's your favorite "dance flick?" Chelsea:Bring it On. I can quote the whole movie. I also like Grease and Footloose.

2. M&Ms or Skittles?
3. Team Edward or Team Jacob?

10. Blondes or Brunettes?
11. Taylor Swift or Taylor Momsen?
12. Convertible or SUV?
13. Surfing or Skiing?
14. TV or Movies?
J-14 was psyched to meet up with Greek's Amber Stevens out in Los Angeles, and not just because we talked about her character, Ashley, or the awesome, bold clothes she gets to wear on the show -- we had some major girl talk about boys, too! And lucky for Greek fans, she gave us some good news about ZBZ's hasher, Fisher -- who Amber just happens to lock lips with on the show. "He'll stick around for awhile," Amber dishes. "He's very, very cute." Sweet! Stay tuned for an exclusive Q & A with Amber, but for now, check out this video she made just for J-14 readers! Greek airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.

Evan Taubenfeld, Avril Lavigne's former lead guitarist, stopped by the J-14 office to chat about his solo career, life with Avril, and his most embarrassing moment on tour!
J-14: Where do you come up with the ideas for your album?
Evan: I just sing melodies all the time, which makes it really annoying for the people around me! All my friends are used to it now! Like I'll just pick up my phone and be like, "Doo do do doo do do." They're like, "What are you doing?" Then I'll type a couple of lyrics in my phone and send them to myself, and that's it. And when I get home that night, there's a whole bunch of e-mails and stuff and I start going through them and writing it all together.
J-14: Since you were a singer originally, when you started off in Avril's band, was it hard for you to take a back seat?
Evan: It was actually pretty easy to take a back seat from Avril. I thought my ego was going to get in the way, but the truth was that she was such an incredible talent on such a different level then I had ever even seen, that it was almost like, "Ah I'm not worthy!" I was definitely like, "Yeah, you're in charge. I'm the number two around here. You can sing like no one I've ever heard in my life." And her personality was so cool so it was pretty easy. I was never jealous. I was never angry. I was actually really excited and supportive and really enjoyed being in the back seat 'cause it was really nerve-wrecking.
J-14: When you told Avril that you were going out on your own, how was that?
Evan: That was the hardest conversation I ever had with her because we were such good friends and she was incredibly supportive of me - but I didn't want her to feel like I was quitting on her. I remember we had this conversation and we both were pretty emotional about it. But at the end she was like, "Look, I want you to do this. You have my full support and you know what? If I were you, I would have done the same thing and it's time for you and whatever you need, I'm there for you." And that really took a lot of the weight off my shoulders.
J-14: So you opened for her after this conversation?
Evan: Yeah, I came back and I would still play some random shows with her, and help her out if she needed to do a quick tour. Then like a year ago, I came and opened up acoustic for her in Baltimore, which was unbelievable. She offered to have me open up for the entire tour, but I was still making my record and I had to say no. It was the worst thing ever. It was like someone offering you a private jet and you're like, "I don't have a license!" So I was like, "Yes! I really want to go, but I can't because I'm in the studio." She was like: "Yeah, that's fine. Just when you're done, let me know and come play one of the shows." When the album was done, she had a couple of shows left and I just flew out for one of them. I picked Baltimore 'cause that's where I'm from. My parents got to come see me play my own songs for once. Only a few years earlier in the same venue, the Patriot Center of Baltimore, I came with Avril and played for 15,000 people and everyone from my hometown. I had made it! And the first note of the first song I fell down the stairs on stage. Start of the concert, boom! Flat on my face! The concert started with us running up these stairs and I ate it.
J-14: What do you think of the whole pop scene now with Demi and the Jonas Brothers? It's kind of different than how it was when you guys were going through it.
Evan: Totally different. I have nothing but profound respect for the Jonas Brother, Demi, and Selena, and Miley, and all the other younger kids that are doing it right now. I think they're all incredibly talented entertainers and stuff but I'm excited to bring back some edge to it.
J-14 hung out with Gaelan Connell and Alyson Michalka to talk about their upcoming movie Bandslam, which hits theaters this summer!
We'd tell you what Bandslam about, but we thought we'd let Gaelan and Aly do it, so watch the vid below! Also stay tuned to hear what band they want to be a part of!
J-14 hung out with Keke Palmer in LA and she recorded a special message for readers. Watch Keke getting ready and posing for pictures below -- what do you think of all her awesome outfits?
Rapper Mike Jones had a lot to be excited about when he stopped into the J-14 offices to chat about his new album The Voice.
The hip hop artist, who gives his cell phone number in every song and lists it on his website, told us about the thousands of calls he gets every day, his new Twitter habit, what bugs him about girls, and more!
J-14: What do you want fans to take away from this new album The Voice?
Mike: I want people who are fans of Mike Jones or who are getting to know Mike Jones to know from my voice what happened, why it was a four-year delay. I want to let them know I'm still able to bring you all hits like "Next To You," "Cuddy Buddy," "Drop and Give Me Fifty," "Swag Through the Roof," and once ya'll hear the album, ya'll will know "Oh okay, Mike Jones, he went through this. Oh, this is what happened," and that'll justify me and I'll be back. When [young fans] hear this album, they're gonna understand what I went through so they won't have to go through it.
J-14: You have always given out your cell phone number in songs, how many calls do you get in a day?
Mike: Before I came out in 2005, I was getting like 40,000 calls a day on the phone. People were just calling. I answer whenever I'm not interviewing, on a plane, or doing a show. I'm always on the phone, Twittering and talking to the fans. I have a Nokia YouTube phone. It's really just a phone for the Internet. I broadcast live, I can turn the camera around and film me and it goes onto the Internet right then.
J-14: Do you have your own songs as ring tones?
Mike: Yeah. I ain't gonna lie! I really get the feedback from the ladies. I mean ladies are running the radio, running the country, running magazines. You gotta have the feedback.
J-14: Would you rather call or text a girl?
Mike: Depends. If we're arguing I'd rather text 'cause I know I'll really get my point across. When we're both on the phone, we ain't getting nothing accomplished. We'll both be yapping and we are gonna hang up and try again. It just depends on what's going on. If it's the regular "Hey babe," you wanna hear the voice, but if it's when you hit me with some sideway stuff and I'm busy, doing J-14, like right now, I'm going to look at this thing and say "shut up!"
J-14: What are the top songs on your summer playlist?
Mike: My songs, "Next To You," and "Swag Through the Roof." I like "Kiss Me Thru the Phone" by Soulja Boy, and I like Kid Cudi's "Day 'N' Nite." I like music that just makes people feel good. Music that makes not just the artist feel good, but when the artist sees large masses of people feeling good to their music? That's good music.

In honor of the April 24 premiere of Disney Channel's Hatching Pete, J-14's giving fans an inside look at the characters and behind-the-scenes secrets straight from the cast! Don't forget to watch Hatching Pete tonight at 8 pm on Disney Channel!
We sat down with Jason Dolley on the Hatching Pete set and talked about his character, favorite scene to film, most embarrassing moment, and more!
J-14: Can you tell us about your character in Hatching Pete? Jason: Pete is extremely shy. He's best friends with Poole. He gets really nervous around pretty girls and hyperventilates.
J-14: Are you like Pete? Jason: This is one of the first characters that I'm not similar to. Most of the things Pete wears I wouldn't. Personality-wise, we're completely different, which makes it fun.
J-14: What has it been like to work with Mitchel Musso? Jason: Mitchel's awesome. I was so excited when I found out I was working with him because I knew him from the Disney Channel games, but we never actually worked together. I knew I was going to have a buddy from the start.
J-14: What was your fave scene to film? Jason: Anything when I'm in the chicken suit. We did a scene where I was making fun of the coach and messing with the basketball players. They actually put me in one of the cheers! It was really fun.
J-14: Did you have any embarrassing moments on set? Jason: I trip in the chicken suit all the time when I'm going up stairs -- even just walking around sometimes! It's funny when I sit down, because I have this big tail. I can't really sit anywhere!
