Jason just started working on his new Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie, with newcomer Bridget Mendler. "Bridget's actually a lot of fun. She's got a really unique sense of humor. It's kind of dry, but she's a really warm person so it works really well," Jason tells J-14 exclusively! The show is set to premiere in early 2010.
We'll be posting a new "When I Was 14..." each day for the next week -- so keep checking back everyday! Here's a hint for tomorrow's: Before this star got her big break on one of Disney Channel's newest shows, she modeled and did gymnastics.
Do you remember the Disney Channel Original Movie Read It and Weep? Are you excited for Good Luck Charlie? Do you think Jason and Bridget should date in real life?
I'll be heading down to Atlantic City, NJ, tomorrow to check out the Counting Crows' big summer tour, The Saturday Night Rebel Rockers Traveling Circus & Medicine Show! (Phew! That's a long name!) The Counting Crows just happen to be Jason Dolley's fave band! We totally bonded over the band last year when I hung out with Jason on the set of his Disney Channel movie, Hatching Pete because Counting Crows album, Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings, was dropping just a couple of weeks later!
Jason told me he really wanted to see C.C. live, and this would be a good summer to do it -- Counting Crows and their special guests, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Augustana will all perform separate sets and then perform together, too! We're psyched to see them live tomorrow (I'll confess - I've seen them live before, and it's always a good, fun show!), especially after seeing the behind-the-scenes vid of their tour rehearsal!

When J-14 chatted exclusively with Jason Dolley on the Disney Channel Cruise, he was so excited to tell us his favorite memory from his adventures at sea!
During our trip on the Disney Channel Cruise with Jason Dolley, Nicole Anderson, and Chelsea Staub, we got to chill with the stars and they fed stingrays on Disney's island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. All three stars even took time to give J-14ers a shout out straight from the ocean! Check out what they had to say plus take a peek at Jason, Nicole, and Chelsea's reactions when they fed the stringrays for the very first time:
We'll have even more videos this week from our awesome cruise, so keep checking back 24/7!
How would you react if you got to feed a stingray? Would you scream like Nicole and Chelsea?
J-14 just got back from the Disney Channel Cruise and we had a total blast! On Sunday we got a front row seat as Jason Dolley, Nicole Anderson, Chelsea Staub, and the band Allstar greeted everyone on the ship before we set sail. Everyone was so excited to see the celebs for the very first time! Check out this video we took of the stars dancing and having a fun time:
And the stars roamed the ship just like everyone else! On Sunday night we saw Jason eating dinner with his family in one of the dining rooms and on Monday we saw two of the guys from Allstar walking on the deck by the pool!
And check back tomorrow for even more videos from our cruise with the stars!
If you got to go on a cruise with a celebrity, who would be your dream celeb?
On Wednesday, we'll be chatting exclusively with the stars -- so send us your questions! And don't forget to follow J-14 on Twitter@j14magazine -- we'll be updating you throughout the week on all the celeb-filled activities!
If you could ask Nicole, Chelsea, and Jason anything you want, what would you ask?
Disney just announced a new series! Set to premiere in 2010, their new comedy series Good Luck Charlie, stars Jason Dolley and Bridget Mendler. The show is about a family who's lives go bonkers when a new baby sister, Charlie, arrives. Bridget plays Teddy and Jason plays Casey, who are the two oldest siblings. At the end each episode, Teddy makes a video diary for Charlie about the day's crazy adventures.
Although this is Bridget's first big role on a Disney series, she is no stranger to DC. She played Nick Jonas' love interest on JONAS and will be on a special episode of Wizards of Waverly Place, "Wizards vs. Vampires" where she plays Justin's (David Henrie) Vampire GF. "Wizards vs. Vampires" premieres on Friday, June 24 at 8 pm ET/PT. Here's a sneak peek pic:
Does Good Luck Charlie sound good? Will you tune in? Is Bridget someone you want to see more of in J-14?
Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green will help bring awareness to four major areas in our environment: climate, water, waste, and habitats. Demi tells J-14, "The issue that's the most important to me is definitely global warming. I think we all need to make a difference."
You will have the opportunity to vote on how Disney will spend $1 million in donations to save the planet. Starting tomorrow the stars from the House of the Mouse, will be doing special environmental commercials on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Radio Disney, and Disney.com.
And what's Dylan Sprouse's going-green advice to you? Don't just sit around! "Don't be lazy because that is the main contributor to not being green. I literally know people who will turn on the sink when they should be brushing their teeth just to fake it. That's so lame. Don't be lazy," the Suite Life star tells J-14.
What do you do to help save the planet? And which of the Disney Channel stars in the group pic is your fave?

In honor of the April 24 premiere of Disney Channel's Hatching Pete, J-14's giving fans an inside look at the characters and behind-the-scenes secrets straight from the cast! Don't forget to watch Hatching Pete tonight at 8 pm on Disney Channel!
We sat down with Jason Dolley on the Hatching Pete set and talked about his character, favorite scene to film, most embarrassing moment, and more!
J-14: Can you tell us about your character in Hatching Pete? Jason: Pete is extremely shy. He's best friends with Poole. He gets really nervous around pretty girls and hyperventilates.
J-14: Are you like Pete? Jason: This is one of the first characters that I'm not similar to. Most of the things Pete wears I wouldn't. Personality-wise, we're completely different, which makes it fun.
J-14: What has it been like to work with Mitchel Musso? Jason: Mitchel's awesome. I was so excited when I found out I was working with him because I knew him from the Disney Channel games, but we never actually worked together. I knew I was going to have a buddy from the start.
J-14: What was your fave scene to film? Jason: Anything when I'm in the chicken suit. We did a scene where I was making fun of the coach and messing with the basketball players. They actually put me in one of the cheers! It was really fun.
J-14: Did you have any embarrassing moments on set? Jason: I trip in the chicken suit all the time when I'm going up stairs -- even just walking around sometimes! It's funny when I sit down, because I have this big tail. I can't really sit anywhere!

We sat down with Josie Loren on the Hatching Pete set and talked about her character, what it was like to kiss Jason Dolley, her most embarrassing on set moment, and more!
J-14: Can you tell us about your character in Hatching Pete? Josie: Her name is Angela Morrissey and she's the new girl at school. She's cute, popular, and nice. She doesn't have an ego on her. She's not snobby. Even though she's popular -- she's on the cheerleading squad -- she's really nice to the people around her who aren't in her clique, like Pete.
J-14: How do you personally compare to Angela?
Josie: I was always raised not to judge people by their cover, and I do a really good job at that. I have all sorts of friends and give everyone a fair chance. You don't really get to know a person until you sit down and actually talk to them. Their outside doesn't say anything about who they are.
J-14: What was your favorite scene to film? Josie: My favorite scene to film was the kissing scene and what led up to it. We [the cheerleaders] were in a pyramid, and the pyramid collapses, and I end up falling on top of Jason.
J-14: What was it like kissing Jason? Josie: Jason made me feel so comfortable, because he's such a nice guy.
J-14: What was the best part about working with Mitchel and Jason? Josie: The best part about working with Jason is we never get into arguments because he's so nice. Everything is fun. He's a great actor. I really enjoy working off of Jason because he's very real. I don't have a lot of one-on-one scenes with Mitchel, but he's funny. He has a joke up his sleeve all the time. He's making you crack up constantly.
J-14: Did you have any embarrassing moments on set? Josie: We were cheering and we had our pom poms behind us -- we do this cheer where we put our feet back to kick and jump into the kick, and I slipped on my pom pom and completely fell. The girls started cracking up!
In honor of Disney Channel's Hatching Pete April 24 premiere, J-14's giving fans an inside look at the characters and behind-the-scenes secrets straight from the cast!
We sat down with Mitchel Musso on the Hatching Pete set and chatted about his character, favorite scenes and more!
J-14: Can you tell us about your character in Hatching Pete? Michel: My character is Cleatus Poole. He's kind of nerdy-- just not popular. Poole is the school mascot, and he's awful. Then the school gets a new chicken suit, and he gets allergic to the suit. He asks his friend Pete to take over for him, and Pete's amazing. Poole gets all the fame out of it, and Pete's still a nerd.
J-14: How do you compare to Poole? Mitchel: I'm not like Poole at all. I never did the high school thing, so it's cool getting to live that. I have a best friend like Poole has his best friend that he always looks up to and asks for advice.
J-14: What was it like to work with Jason Dolley? Mitchel: He's awesome. Jason and I make a really good team. We get along really well. We can relate.
J-14: What was your favorite scene to film? Mitchel: My favorites are whenever it's just Jason and I because they're so natural and fun. Also, the scene in the workshop when they're building the float. We have this big walking scene, and the whole scene is shot in one take. It was awesome.
J-14: What was the funniest scene to film? Mitchel: Anything with Brian Stepanek who plays Arwin on The Suite Life. He improvs the whole time, and it's hard to keep a straight face. He's great.
Check out J-14's exclusive Q&A with Tiffany Thornton here, and check back tomorrow for Jason Dolley's Q&A!
J-14's Hatching Pete Countdown!
In honor of Disney Channel's Hatching Pete April 24th premiere, J-14's giving fans an inside look at the characters and behind-the-scenes secrets straight from the cast!
We sat down with Tiffany Thornton on the Hatching Pete set and chatted about her character, cheerleading, her favorite scenes to film, and more!
J-14: Can you tell us about your character in Hatching Pete? Tiffany: I play Jamie Wynn, the head cheerleader. She has a crush on Poole because he's the chicken and becomes really funny. She thinks she has to be with the funny person who's popular. She starts flirting with Poole in class and the next thing you know, they're pretty much together.
J-14: Were you a cheerleader? Tiffany: I was a cheerleader all through junior high and high school, but I would never date someone just for popularity purposes! I actually have to like the person a whole lot to invest time into a relationship, but it's always cute to be the cheerleader/whoever-the-big-guy is couple. I think deep down a lot of times girls wish for that, but it takes a lot more work than it looks like in a movie. Boys are tough! I do relate to Jamie since I was a cheerleader in high school. I had a great time doing all that kind of stuff. It's fun to be able to do it again in the movie.
J-14: Which cast members have you bonded with the most? Tiffany: Mitchel Musso and Jason Dolley are a joy to work with. They're sweethearts and gentlemen. They're so much fun and really make it an enjoyable experience. Josie Lopez is a sweetheart. She's from Florida, and I'm from Texas, so we have that back home thing going on. I've known her for a while, and she's amazingly talented. The person I bonded with most is Madison Riley who plays Camie, Mitchel Musso's sister. She is seriously the most hilarious person.
J-14: What was it like filming in a real high school with kids everywhere? Tiffany: At first nobody really knew who we were, so they were a little confused. Now they've caught on. One day when we were shooting, the girls went nuts over Jason and Mitchel. I walked out of the set and towards our chair rack -- where they have our names on the chairs -- and there were girls out there taking pictures of Jason's chair. They just wait out there and are like, "They're coming back from lunch soon!" They're big fans. I think that's adorable!
J-14: What was your favorite scene to film? Tiffany: I have two. My first is when we get to do the stunt scene, where we're up in the air. I have dreams about stunting because I haven't done it in so long. To be able to do that now is so much fun because I get to live out my dream. It was scary because you're up there, and you have to wobble around and look like you're falling. There's another scene where we're in the science room and I'm sitting next to Jason's character, Pete, and Mitchel comes in the room. Everyone's talking about the chicken. Jason is sitting next to me, and Jamie needs Pete to move. So I pick up his books, put them in his lap, and push him out. Then Poole comes in and sits next to me, and I flirt with him. There's a part where I hit him on the end of his nose with my eraser on my pencil. I was just joking around and did it once, and our director was like, "I like that," and I was like, "Okay, I'll keep flirting with an eraser!" It was a cute scene because I push Pete out of the way completely and then clear the space for Poole.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for another Hatching Pete cast member Q&A!

J-14 Exclusive! J-14 was one of the lucky few who got to be inside the theater for JB's 3D movie premiere last night in LA!
Imagine our excitement as we watched celeb after celeb walk into the theater! First we saw Brandon Smith from Sonny With a Chance get a big tub of popcorn (The tubs has JB's 3D poster on it!) with his mystery girfriend. A little while later we saw his Sonny costars Doug Brochu, Tiffany Thornton, who was wearing a gorgeous white dress, and cutie Sterling Knight, who has the bluest eyes we've ever seen!
A little while later we bumped into the Jonas Brothers backing band, Garbo, John Taylor, Jack, and Ryan, aka Bulldozer, while getting a grilled cheese in the lobby. The guys gave us big hugs and joked how we just saw them only a week ago at their exclusive J-14 photo shoot!
We also caught up with our friends Honor Society, who we literally hung out with all day Monday at their J-14 shoot! Psst! They also give great hugs, too!
Then we saw a girl in a cute, sparkly turquoise dress and realized it was Camp Rock's Meaghan Jette Martin! She posed for pics with fans and even signed autographs! So did her CR costar, Alyson Stoner! In fact, inside the theater, Aly was literally sitting right behind us!
Speaking of inside the theater - boy, did we have a front row seat! Not only were we sitting next to Camp Rock's Roshon Fegan, but next to him was Jason Dolley! Jason cut his hair short and we barely recognzied him! He looked great!
Mark Ballas from Dancing with the Stars was seated behind us. His date for the night? Joanna Pacitti - the girl who was kicked off American Idol this season because she was "ineligible to continue."
We literally bumped into Daniel Samonas, who plays Selena's BF on Wizards, chatted with The Suite Life on Deck's Debby Ryan, and saw Jordin Sparks joking around with Meaghan in their seats.
As we finally sat in our seat, we realized we were sitting one row away from Jonas! Just before JB and Demi entered the theater, we saw Demi's adorable sister, Madison, get escorted to her seat - right by Frankie Jonas! In fact, the whole Jonas fam was there - including Kevin's GF, Danielle, and Joe's GF, Camilla Belle. (PS: We saw both girls sneak into the theater to avoid being caught by the photogs!)
Finally Nick, Joe, Kevin, and Demi came on stage and thanked everyone for coming. They all looked AMAZING, of course! And as a group, we all put our 3D glasses on
together!
The movie was, in one word, AWESOME! We don't want to give anything away, but there's one part where we see all three guys shirtless! Wow!
At one point during the flick, when JB's dad comes on screen for the first time, Kevin yelled from his seat, "Yeah Dad!" and the whole theater started to laugh. In fact, the guys got really into the movie - we even saw Nick dancing in his seat to the song "SOS."
Check out the vid of the boys walking the red carpet:
Then, we caught up with Alyson Stoner, Jason Dolley and Jordan Pruitt who all have a special JB message for J-14ers!
This weekend, Jennifer Stone had a rockin' Sweet 16 Birthday bash. The Wizards of Waverly Place cast along with other Disney Channel friends came out to celebrate! Check out the pics below!
