Besides their initials, the Jonas Brothers have something serious in common with Justin Bieber -- they both belong to the list of artists lending their vocals to a new version of "We Are the World!" The original track with Michael Jackson raised $63 million to fight hunger in Ethiopia. On "We Are the World - 25 for Haiti," stars like Miley Cyrus, Katharine McPhee, Kanye West, Jennifer Hudson, and Lady Gaga will sing to benefit victims of the earthquake.
Watch the original recording for "We Are the World" below:

Zac Brown Band
"I loved how the Zac Brown Band totally turned the glam Grammys into a down-home country jamboree with their performance. "Chicken Fried" is such a fun song!" - Freelance Editor Ashley Spencer

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place tonight, Sunday, January 31 at 8 pm on CBS. Word on the street is that when the lights go down, Lady Gaga will be opening the show and performing with Sir Elton John!
Ke$ha's catchy beat "Tik Tok" soared up the charts in the past couple of months, finding its new home on the Billboard's Hot 100! (It's number one this week!) This glittery singer even beat Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" record for the most airplay of a song on the radio in one week! But where did this California native come from? All we know is that it doesn't look like she's going anywhere anytime soon!
Five Things You Didn't Know About Ke$ha:
1. She appeared on an episode of The Simple Life back in 2005 with socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
2. Though she's new to mainstream, this 22-year-old has been writing songs and singing her entire life. After relocating to Nashville, producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin (They work with Britney Spears!) convinced her to return to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue her music career.
3. Growing up wasn't easy for Ke$ha's, who's real name is Kesha Sebert. "Three years ago I was stealing canned vegetables from the dollar store to survive," she says. "Now I'm on a No. 1 song, working on my album, and have a little change in my pocket. To be able to take my mom out to dinner is the best feeling in the world."
4. In hopes of getting her music produced by Prince, Ke$ha snuck in his Beverly Hills home to personally give him her demo CD. She was escorted out by security.
5. Though unaccredited, Ke$ha sang back up vocals in Flo Rida's summer jam, "Right Round".
Ke$ha is set to hit the stage this spring joining Drake, Paramore, and many more at Bamboozle on May 1st and May 2nd at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ!
Do you like Ke$ha? Is she someone you want to see more of in J-14?
Known for amazing outfits and haute hairdos, Lady Gaga is working to remind us that, "charity is very fashionable!" On The Monster Ball Tour, Gaga has been teaming up with Virgin Mobile and the RE*Generation campaign to fight teenage homelessness! Check out the video below (it plays at the beginning of all of her concerts) where she talks about the cause and promises to match her fan's donations up to $25,000.
And this Sunday January 24, Lady Gaga will add her name to the list of stars in support of Haiti -- she will donate all of her concert proceeds from her NYC show to the earthquake relief. If you won't be at the show, don't worry! You can still donate by logging onto ladygaga.com January 24. The proceeds from any merchandise that you buy on her site will go to Haiti.

Last night's show could not go on for Lady Gaga -- the star had to cancel her West Lafayette, IN performance on the Monster Ball Tour because she had collapsed earlier that day. Paramedics rushed to the scene and found that her heart-rate was irregular as a result of exhaustion and dehydration.
Even though she wanted to take to the stage, Lady Gaga was having trouble breathing and feeling dizzy right before the show so was forced to cancel. "I feel like I let my fans down 2nite," she Tweeted. "Can't apologize enough for how sorry I am. I hope you can forgive me." Lady Gaga plans to do a makeup performance for her West Lafayette fans on January 26.

We already brought to you J-14 most searched star of 2009 on j14.com and now it's time for the ultimate poll -- the hottest stars of 2009! Tens of thousands of you voted and here are your top 14 stars of 2009:
Miley Cyrus is showing some major love for other musicians! Not only did she write "I met Lady Gaga" on her official blog over 50 times after seeing the pop star in London, she danced to Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" backstage too (see video above).
Plus Miley just announced that she'd be covering Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," a huge power ballad from the '80s. it's no secret that Miley loves that decade -- she's had two '80s themed b-day parties, including her 17th birthday this year! Lead singer Bret Michaels (yep, of VH1's Rock of Love) even helped her record her take on the track in the studio.
Here's to hoping she comes out with an entire album of hair band ballads and/or duets with Lady Gaga!
Do you think it's cool that Miley's showing so much love for other artists?
This really has been Taylor Swift's year! The country crooner was nominated for eight 2010 Grammy Awards, just behind Beyoncé's ten Grammy nods. Both singers are up for Album Of The Year (Taylor's Fearless and Beyoncé's I Am... Sasha Fierce), Record of the Year (Taylor's hit "You Belong With Me" and Beyoncé's tune "Halo"), and Song Of The Year (Taylor's single "You Belong With Me" and Beyoncé's hit "Single Ladies"). Beyoncé has won 10 Grammys over her solo careers, but Taylor hasn't won any yet!
And even more of your faves are up for awards! The Black Eyed Peas' (six total nods) and Lady Gaga (five nods) are also up against Taylor and Beyoncé in all three categories, and Kings of Leon (four nods) will compete against them for both Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for their single "Use Somebody." Green Day, Katy Perry, Kanye West, and Paramore were also nominated for Grammy Awards. You can check out the full list here.
Find out who all the winners will be when the 2010 Grammy Awards show airs January 31 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. Hmm... will we see another Taylor Swift/Kanye West moment at the show?
Do you think Taylor and Beyoncé deserved so many nominations? What was your fave song of the year? Who else do you think should have gotten a Grammy nomination?
Lady Gaga's new CD The Fame Monster is tearing up the charts! (It's currently number one on the iTunes chart!) On the disc, she has a song called "Speechless," which she is performing this Friday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The song has a very special meaning to Gaga -- she wrote it about her dad.
Gaga tells Ellen: "He had open-heart surgery. He had an aortic valve transplant. I was on the road and I was having a lot of trouble missing my parents and wanting to be with my Dad. So I wrote this song called 'Speechless' for him to sort of beg him to get this surgery and it worked."
Have you bought Lady Gaga's new album yet? Do you like the song "Speechless?" What's your favorite song on the album?
I was lucky enough to not just watch the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards being taped last night at NYC's Roseland Ballroom, but I got to head out on to the red carpet too! I talked to all the celebs about who they were excited to see at the awards show and, of course, talk about New Moon!
Sparks the Rescue's single is called "We Love Like Vampires," so I had to ask if they were Team Edward or Jacob. "Team Bella!" guitarist Toby McAllister told J-14. But Zooey Deschanel -- her hubby happens to be Death Cab For Cutie's lead singer Ben Gibbard -- told me she hasn't seen the movies! "I just haven't gotten to it, but I'm open to it," Zooey told J-14. "I love the soundtrack!"
Never Shout Never's Christopher Drew -- one of the night's big winners who told me, "I wish I was a vampire!" -- was psyched to see Death Cab perform, while singer Kenna loves Alicia Keys. In fact, he wanted her to win the Good Woodie award for charity work -- over himself! But would he pull a Kanye West if Alicia didn't win? "Yes," he told me. "I'll take the award from whoever - like if I win it, I'll take it from myself. Is [Taylor Swift] here? I want to give her a hug."
He wasn't the only one -- the Kanye incident was mentioned by rapper Asher Roth when he presented an award. But the biggest surprises of the night? Matt & Kim's back-up dancers stripping down during the band's opening number (they still had some clothes on -- don't worry!), 3OH!3 dressed up in two of Lady Gaga's craziest outfits, and Gossip Girl'sLeighton Meester presented with the legendary Cydni Lauper!
My fave parts of the night overall were just watching Death Cab perform their hit off the Twilight soundtrack, "Meet Me On The Equinox," and one of my all-time fave songs of theirs, "The Sound of Settling." P.O.S. rapping through the crowd was pretty cool too, as was mega rock band The Dead Weather performing three songs to close out the night -- after all, they're an awesome group who hardly ever take the stage!
You can check out all the madness when the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards when it premieres on Friday, December 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It's a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked. GaGa just gets it, ya know?"
