J-14 is scouting out the hottest bands around... and this week's pick is The Friday Night Boys!
Here are five things you need to know about The Friday Night Boys, whose debut full-length album, Off The Deep End, is out now!
1. The band decided to named their band after their bowling team! Their league name was called -- you guessed it -- The Friday Night Boys!
2. TFNB's The Once It Hits Your Lips Tour just started last Friday! Lead singer Andrew Goldstein, bassist Robby Dallas Reider, guitarist Mike Toohey, and drummer Chirs Barrett will be touring with Anarbor, The Biggest Lights, and The Ready Set through February 13.
3. Andrew's fave song on Off The Deep End is "Suicide Sunday" -- but no worries, it's not as depressing as it sounds! "I wrote it during a time when people were telling me what I should do and what decisions I should make, while I just wanted to hang out with my friends and have fun," Andrew tells J-14. "It's about avoiding responsibility and just being who you want to be."
4. The Friday Night Boys' favorite restaurant to go to on tour is Subway. "We eat there up to 5 times a week!" Andrew admits to J-14.
5. When the boys aren't touring or practicing, they love spending their free time going to the movies, bowling, or playing video games. Mike just saw Youth In Revolt with Michael Cera and has been reminiscing about some old school fave flicks. "Dumb and Dumber is my favorite movie I haven't seen it in forever," he tweeted.
Check out TFNB's brand new video for "Stupid Love Letter" - the song is on their album and the When In Rome soundtrack. Both are out now!
