-They may be super hot, but Nina spilled to J-14 that she sees her vampire costars as "big brothers."
-The actress told J-14 that one of her best friends from her time on Degrassi is Paula Brancati who plays Jane! They still keep in touch.
-Tearjerker Stepmom is one of her favorite movies ever! She told J-14 that the song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye is on her top playlist because of it.

Millions of viewers (including us!) tuned in yesterday to watch The Vampire Diaries premiere... in fact, it was the most-watched season premiere on The CW -- ever!

But today the cast of the overnight sensation made news for another reason. A few of the cast members landed in jail in Forsyth, Georgia, after a photo shoot on a bridge prompted people driving by to call the police on August 22. Reports say that they were hanging from the bridge recklessly.

The show's lead star, Nina Dobrev, was among those arrested... as were Sara Canning, Kayla Ewell, and Candice Accola.

Vampire mania hits the small screen with The Vampire Diaries premiering tonight on the CW at 8:00PM ET! On the first episode, we meet Elena (played by Degrassi actress Nina Dobrev) who is returning to high school the fall after a family tragedy.

Psychic BFFs, jealous frenemies, an angry ex -- Elena deals with it all, and becomes close with the new guy at school Stefan (played by Paul Wesley) who has his own problems to deal with including his bad boy brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) coming back into his life. And then there's the whole him being a vampire trying to live a normal life thing...

Twilight's coming to a TV near you -- sorta! The CW just announced their new shows for the fall and one of them is about vampires! The Vampire Diaries, based on the hit book series by L.J. Smith, is about two brothers, (Lost's Ian Somerhalder and Everwood's Paul Wesley), who are both obsessed with a beautiful girl, played by Degrassi: The Next Generation's Nina Dobrev. Hmm -- sounds a lot like Edward and Jacob fighting for Bella's heart, don'tcha think?!

And Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is coming back to TV! (Remember, she was on 7th Heaven!) Following the successful footsteps of 90210, The CW is remaking another classic '90s TV show, Melrose Place. (FYI: Grace's mom on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Josie Bissett, was an original Melrose cast member!) Also in the show? Jesse McCartney's ex-GF, Katie Cassidy! And it's rumored that Ryan Eggold, who currently plays the teacher Mr. Matthews on 90210, will be a regular cast member!
