Panic! At the Disco may be a twosome now (and yes, they officially brought back the ! in their name!), but they're definitely not slowing down. Brendan Urie and Spencer Smith just released the video for "New Perspective," the first song off of the Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried movie, Jennifer's Body (out September 18).
Members of your favorites bands have teamed up to spread a little happiness in the world -- in the form of a new music video called "Open Happiness."
Yup, those familiar faces are Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, Brendon Urie from Panic At the Disco, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, Cee-Lo Green, and Janelle Monae. The purpose of their collaboration? "To come together and create a song to uplift and inspire." Awww...
What do you think of the video for "Open Happiness"?
Time to Panic... and this time we're not joking around.
Two members of Panic At the Disco -- Ryan Ross and Jon Walker -- are leaving the band. Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith will continue with the band and all plans for the tour will continue with the new Panic.
The official statement from the band reads: "Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic At the Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we've creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too."
The message continues saying: "Stay posted to the Panic site for updates on Ryan and Jon's new project, as well as a message from Brendon and Spencer who will continue on as Panic At The Disco. All touring and album plans for Panic will continue as previously announced."
If you've checked out our Myspace page you know what a busy couple of days we had!
On Thursday, J-14 visited the set of Wizards Of Waverly Place. It was rehearsal day, so the cast was busy learning a new script and practicing lines. But we did manage to sit down with Selena Gomez, Jennifer Stone and Jake T. Austin, plus we saw all the sets from the Waverly Sub Station to the Tribeca Prep hallway! How cool is that? Look for the 411 in our December issue.
The next day Jennifer Stone from Wizards visited our offices near NYC. (Yes, one of our editors just saw her Thursday in LA--crazy, huh?).
The same day Emily crashed iCarly, where she got to hang out and have lunch with the cast. Nathan tried to help us decode guys, Miranda chatted with us about dating and Jeanette gave J-14 a tour of her loft. Check out the video from Jennette behind-the-scenes!
Check out these awesome pictures Emily got from around the set!
On Sunday, J-14 had an all access pass to the MTV VMAs, where we interviewed Hayley Williams of Paramore, Chris Brown, Demi Lovato, Brody Jenner, the cast of Nickelodeon's Spectacular and more! Emily lucked out and got a total hot spot on the red carpet, and got to check out Taylor Swift, Panic at the Disco, Zac Efron, Shwayze, Superbad's Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Twilight's Robert Patterson, the Pussycat Dolls, Danity Kane and The Hills' Heidi and Spencer.
