The busiest band around is hitting the road again! Barely back from Europe and getting ready to head to Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Paramore just announced that they'l headline a tour this spring. They'll kick off the gigs on April 26 in Knoxville, TN, supported by bands Relient K and fun. The tour includes their headlining date at The Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ.

Do you want to see Paramore on the road this year? What song of theirs would you love to hear live?
Ke$ha's catchy beat "Tik Tok" soared up the charts in the past couple of months, finding its new home on the Billboard's Hot 100! (It's number one this week!) This glittery singer even beat Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" record for the most airplay of a song on the radio in one week! But where did this California native come from? All we know is that it doesn't look like she's going anywhere anytime soon!
Five Things You Didn't Know About Ke$ha:
1. She appeared on an episode of The Simple Life back in 2005 with socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
2. Though she's new to mainstream, this 22-year-old has been writing songs and singing her entire life. After relocating to Nashville, producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin (They work with Britney Spears!) convinced her to return to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue her music career.
3. Growing up wasn't easy for Ke$ha's, who's real name is Kesha Sebert. "Three years ago I was stealing canned vegetables from the dollar store to survive," she says. "Now I'm on a No. 1 song, working on my album, and have a little change in my pocket. To be able to take my mom out to dinner is the best feeling in the world."
4. In hopes of getting her music produced by Prince, Ke$ha snuck in his Beverly Hills home to personally give him her demo CD. She was escorted out by security.
5. Though unaccredited, Ke$ha sang back up vocals in Flo Rida's summer jam, "Right Round".
Ke$ha is set to hit the stage this spring joining Drake, Paramore, and many more at Bamboozle on May 1st and May 2nd at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ!
Do you like Ke$ha? Is she someone you want to see more of in J-14?
Paramore will be shooting the video for their next single, "The Only Exception," later this month, and one shot will include tons of Valentine's Day cards. Instead of picking up a whole bunch of plain ones from a drugstore, Paramore wants to get their fans in on the fun.
"We're not asking for anything crazy, just get some red or pink paper and write something on it," lead singer Hayley Williams explains. "It could be the name of some kid you're crushing on... Or it could be a letter to us saying what's up... Or maybe you just like writing? If you're up for it, get to it now! We will be putting EVERY LETTER we get from you guys in this video. There are no losers, only winners."
To be included in the music video, send a card to Paramore Fan Club, 853 Broadway, Floor 3, New York, NY 10003 by Wednesday, January 27.
Paramore's frontwoman Hayley Williams has always proven that girls can really rock! This year was no exception with the band's hit album brand new eyes and opening for No Doubt on tour! Today, Paramore's Hayley celebrates her 21st birthday. Happy Birthday, Hayley!
Fun Facts about Hayley
- Hayley's first band crush was *NSYNC!
- When asked what celebrity she'd like to kiss under the mistletoe, this firecracker responded with "I don't know if there's any celebrities I want to kiss. They don't deserve it!"
- Hayley and Paramore are set to headline Bamboozle 2010!
Last year female-fronted bands Paramore and No Doubt toured together, and it looks like 2010 will be a year dominated by rocking chicas too! Hey Monday is set to be one of tour headliners on the AP Tour 2010. The Cab, Every Avenue, and The Summer Set (also three J-14 faves) will open the shows. Every Avenue's lead singer Cassadee Pope tweeted "stoked for the @aptour," as did the whole band:
The last headlining band on the tour will be announced Friday, December 18, followed by the official tour dates.
This really has been Taylor Swift's year! The country crooner was nominated for eight 2010 Grammy Awards, just behind Beyoncé's ten Grammy nods. Both singers are up for Album Of The Year (Taylor's Fearless and Beyoncé's I Am... Sasha Fierce), Record of the Year (Taylor's hit "You Belong With Me" and Beyoncé's tune "Halo"), and Song Of The Year (Taylor's single "You Belong With Me" and Beyoncé's hit "Single Ladies"). Beyoncé has won 10 Grammys over her solo careers, but Taylor hasn't won any yet!
And even more of your faves are up for awards! The Black Eyed Peas' (six total nods) and Lady Gaga (five nods) are also up against Taylor and Beyoncé in all three categories, and Kings of Leon (four nods) will compete against them for both Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for their single "Use Somebody." Green Day, Katy Perry, Kanye West, and Paramore were also nominated for Grammy Awards. You can check out the full list here.
Find out who all the winners will be when the 2010 Grammy Awards show airs January 31 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. Hmm... will we see another Taylor Swift/Kanye West moment at the show?
Do you think Taylor and Beyoncé deserved so many nominations? What was your fave song of the year? Who else do you think should have gotten a Grammy nomination?
Bamboozle is one of the biggest rock festivals each year, and in 2010, it'll be headlined by two huge names -- Paramore and Weezer!
A couple of weeks ago 33 hints were posted, giving clues as to which bands will be performing in May. Since hint #1 said "Queen, the, without," we appreciate those Bamboozle peeps revealing at least two of the bands now! Paramore is set to headline the May 1 show at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ. Pre-sale tickets will be on sale this Friday at thebamboozle.com, and more bands will be announced in upcoming weeks.
Paramore is currently touring in Europe and will be back in the U.S. in the spring of 2010. But lead singer Hayley Williams doesn't seem to mind life on the road. "Wowowow. These shows are blowing my mind. Thank God for music," she Tweeted after Paramore's show in Stockholm, Sweden.
Tell us -- do you like going to concert festivals? And what do you think of Paramore's latest record, brand new eyes?
The music video for Paramore's "Brick By Boring Brick," just premiered today, and it's no fairy tale -- it actually puts a brand new spin on them! Guitarist Josh Farro says the band came up with the concept for the video while chowing down at a diner in London.
"It's our take on this sort-of dark fantasy world and how it fits into the lyrics of the song and pulling imagery straight out of the lyrics," lead singer Hayley Williams explains. "I'm really excited for our fans to see this side of us because we are very into videos that have a lot of artwork. We've never really done it ourselves."
Check out the brand new video below, then tell J-14: Do you like the "Brick By Boring Brick" video?
And check out two more pics from the vid after the jump!
A Day To Remember have been criss-crossing the country like crazy for "The Pulling Your Pud" Tour, but lead singer Jeremy McKinnon took time out to let J-14 know what's been going on lately. Jeremy gave us the scoop on ADTR's latest album, Homesick (it was produced by A New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert -- yep, that'd be the BF of Paramore'sHayley Williams!), their new guitarist, and the band Jeremy is dying to play with!
J-14: What made you want to form A Day To Remember six years ago?
Jeremy McKinnon: Our old guitar player Tom Denney hit me up about singing in a new band he was forming, and everyone else just kind of fell into place shortly after. A kid we had in the band for like weeks came up with the name [A Day To Remember], and we liked it a lot. He wasn't such a good guitar player though, so we kicked him out.
J-14: What is your favorite track offHomesick?
Jeremy: "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?" -- it's different from a lot of the other songs on the record, and I really like the feel it has.
J-14: Is one track more personal to you than the rest?
Jeremy: The acoustic song "If It Means A Lot To You," by far. It took me a year to write because I wanted it to say exactly what I wanted, and I accomplished that. It's about the hardships of life on the road and juggling a relationship at the same time.
Tom recently left the band. What's it been like having Kevin Skaff on the road now instead?
Jeremy: It's been great. Tom got to a point where he didn't want to be in the band anymore, and it brought everyone else down. Now he is happy, and so are we. Kevin is really stoked to be in the band, and it really helps us be motivated.
J-14: What's one thing you have to have on tour with you?
Jeremy: My acoustic guitar. Something about an acoustic just makes it easy to write for me. I can't go without one.
J-14: If you could play with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Jeremy:Blink 182 -- because it's got to happen.
Just as Paramore was celebrating the release of their new album, brand new eyes, on tour, they had to postpone a series of dates because lead singer Hayley Williams came down with laryngitis.
She wrote on her blog:
"I've kept quiet (literally) for the past few days waiting to figure out how we were going to deal with my vocal cords breaking (not literally)...
So, this week I saw one of the best doctors in the country to check on my vocal cords. I knew it wasn't going to be good but knowing that we were just starting our tour, I was trying to remain positive about it. In short, I've got laryngitis and need several days of vox rest. Luckily, we caught it early on. It's not like I've got some impending doom hanging over my head in which every time I play a show I'm going to wonder if it's the last one... I just have to be smart about this whole thing. So - we may have to rework the way I do stuff on the road.. like not only do I need to watch what I eat - but how much I talk at meet and greets and signings and press. I might have to go back to wearing that "I'm on voicerest" button that I used to wear all the time. Ha. Ha. IT SUCKS!!! But I'm doing every thing I can, taking every precaution, to get it right. I wanna beon tour, man! All in all, this is the reason for the postponement of the upcoming shows. Just know that we WILL be coming back for you guys! The entire tour is going to happen... and I'm psyched.
Thank you again for the incredible support that you've shown me and the guys. We always say it but seriously... Paramore fans are the best fans.

Woah -- the VMAs are known for their craziness, but last night's incident was out of control! From the moment it happened, everyone's been buzzing about when Kanye West hopped on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video and said that Beyonce's "Single Ladies" should have got the award!
Moments after The Twilight Saga: New Moon's Taylor Launter announced that Taylor's "You Belong To Me" won, Kanye stormed the stage and said, "Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'm going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!"
Taylor S. was so shocked -- and the screen quickly went to a break. Right away, celeb like Paramore's Hayley Williams took to their Twitters started supporting Team Taylor!
But later on when Beyonce won for Video of the Year, she called Taylor out on stage and told her to have her moment! Awwww!
After the show, Kanye apologized on his blog to Taylor on his blog... here's what it says:
J-14 was at the VMAs and chatted with the stars about it... and Tweeted with you guys about it too! Stay tuned to see video of what the celebs had to say.

Does that date sound familiar? It should! Selena Gomez's debut CD, Kiss & Tell, comes out that day, too! Talk about a weird coincidence -- Selena told J-14 that she loves Paramore, especially because lead singer Hayley Williams is "someone I look up to."
And the music video for the first single off Paramore's new album just premiered on MTV today! The tune is called Ignorance, and J-14's got the vid for you below.

What do you think of Paramore? Are you excited about their new album?
If you've checked out our Myspace page you know what a busy couple of days we had!
On Thursday, J-14 visited the set of Wizards Of Waverly Place. It was rehearsal day, so the cast was busy learning a new script and practicing lines. But we did manage to sit down with Selena Gomez, Jennifer Stone and Jake T. Austin, plus we saw all the sets from the Waverly Sub Station to the Tribeca Prep hallway! How cool is that? Look for the 411 in our December issue.
The next day Jennifer Stone from Wizards visited our offices near NYC. (Yes, one of our editors just saw her Thursday in LA--crazy, huh?).
The same day Emily crashed iCarly, where she got to hang out and have lunch with the cast. Nathan tried to help us decode guys, Miranda chatted with us about dating and Jeanette gave J-14 a tour of her loft. Check out the video from Jennette behind-the-scenes!
Check out these awesome pictures Emily got from around the set!
On Sunday, J-14 had an all access pass to the MTV VMAs, where we interviewed Hayley Williams of Paramore, Chris Brown, Demi Lovato, Brody Jenner, the cast of Nickelodeon's Spectacular and more! Emily lucked out and got a total hot spot on the red carpet, and got to check out Taylor Swift, Panic at the Disco, Zac Efron, Shwayze, Superbad's Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Twilight's Robert Patterson, the Pussycat Dolls, Danity Kane and The Hills' Heidi and Spencer.
