Selena Gomez has a post-Nick fling with Taylor Lautner

After having her heart broken by Nick Jonas at the end of 2008, Selena found happiness, if only for a short time, with Taylor Lautner. The two were both in Vancouver while she shot Ramona and Beezus and he filmed New Moon. Once they returned to LA, both realized they were better off as friends, and continue to be to this day.

It was just announced that Selena Gomez is set to star in a new movie called What Boys Want! The comedy is about a girl, played by Selena, who can hear what boys are thinking.

But you won't have to wait until What Boys Want to see Selena on the big screen. Her movie, Ramona and Beezus, hit theaters on March 19, 2010! (Remember while filming the movie in Vancouver this past spring, she was caught hanging out with her good friend, and rumored love interest at the time, Taylor Lautner!)

Rumors are swirling that Taylor Lauter and Selena Gomez have broken up! Our friend in Canada tells us that Taylor felt pressure to stay single from his father and Summit Entertainment, who's the movie studio behind The Twilight Saga.

As J-14 first reported in the February 2009 issue, Taylor admitted to having a crush on Selena to Ryan Seacrest on November 17th, adding that she was "cute"! Hear the evidence at :30:

So imagine how excited Taylor must have been when he just happened to meet Selena for the first time at the airport just TWO days later! Talk about fate! Taylor was behind Selena in the airport security line and you could definitely see the chemistry between the werewolf and wizard as they shyly glanced and smiled at each other. So how did these two eventually end up together? Well, Taylor did meet Selena's BFF, Demi Lovato, at the 2009 Kids' Choice Awards in March while Selena was filming the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie in Puerto Rico. Though Demi and Taylor posed for some photos together, Demi quickly denied having any feelings for Tay, saying, "Hold please, oh God. No, thank you! He is not for me!" Maybe she said that because she knew Selena and Taylor were crushing on each other!
 
It's no secret that Taylor is really good friends with Alyson Stoner, a fellow Disney cutie. Alyson, who became close with Taylor while filming Cheaper by the Dozen 2, is also good friends with Demi Lovato, her Camp Rock costar. Could Alyson and Demi have possibly set up their two BFF's?! Maybe!

Selena and her Ramona and Beezus costar Joey King made this funny "Joey Commercial" after work one day.

This is the second time this week Selena's checked in from Canada - she also posted a new blog on her MySpace saying these past few weeks have been the "happiest she's ever been." Remember, she was also spotted on several dates with Twilight's Taylor recently!

Selena Gomez updates her Myspace page from Canada where she's shooting Ramona and Beezus. Sel's super happy in Canada and loves the cast of her first non-Disney movie. Read what she has to say below!

I feel that Canada has made me the happiest I've been in a while. Being honest going to work on a project that doesn't have Disney Channel in the title was a little scary for me, there were no Disney kids here with me. Was that good? Was that bad? I've come to the conclusion that its both.

I've been surrounded by the most amazing people, adults and kids. There's the classiest woman ive ever met who always makes me smile (Bridget Moynahan), the funniest guy who can make the best out of every situation and makes us ALL laugh (John Corbett), a little girl who is wise beyond her years and makes me pray and sing with her when I'm having a bad day (Joey King) and from our cast to our crew I've learned so much already. Thank you.

There's no hiding it now! Twilight's Taylor Lautner has been spending tons of time with his crush (that J-14 reported in our February 2009 issue!), Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez! Selena's been up in Vancouver filming Ramona and Beezus while Taylor's reprising his role as Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

On Saturday, Taylena had dinner together at the Cactus Club and walked out with huge smiles on their faces! Selena was even spotted running up behind Taylor and giving him an adorable squeeze on the back. Awww, too cute!

The normally Twitter-chatty Selena has been silent lately, except for at midnight after her dinner date when she simply posted from her Blackberry, "Lucky- Mraz." Selena loves Jason Mraz, but this particular song is sweet love song duet between Jason and Colbie Caillat!

Earlier reports said that Taylor wasn't allowed to date until he was 28, but last week he dispelled those rumors, laughing at how it rhymed "can't date until 28!"

While the two get to know each other better, fans are torn on whether they want to see the two together. Tell us what you think about Taylena!

As J-14 first reported in the February 2009 issue, Taylor Launter's crush is Selena Gomez. And we said back then how cute the werewolf-wizard pairing would be!

And now that both are filming movies up in Vancouver, Canada -- Taylor in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Selena in Ramona and Beezus -- the two have definitely struck up a friendship!

They hit up the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner within the week, and on Thursday, they had a 30-minute coffee date at Caffe Artigiano over lattes, with Selena's mom also there. Too cute!

On her Twitter, Selena's more focused on bonding with her cast and crew (especially Joey King who plays her lil' sis -- the two have a real-life sister-like relationship!). And she also Tweeted to her bud Jonathan Cook from Forever the Sickest Kids that should they cover the song, "It Ain't Me, Babe." Ha!

Only time will tell what will happen with Taylor and Selena... but we want to know what you think? Should Taylor and Selena date?
