She's Radio Disney's new golden girl and a YouTube phenomenon, but 16-year-old Savannah Outen is no overnight sensation. The 16-year-old singer/songwriter had her first live performance at age two! She recently visited J-14 to chat about her new music video, tour with the Naked Brothers Band and crush on a Jonas!
J-14: How does it feel to be on Radio Disney?
Savannah: It's definitely a dream come true. On the countdown, I'm next to all of my idols. It's a really cool feeling.
J-14: Who are your idols?
Savannah: Aly and AJ, for sure. I like Miley and Demi and the Jonas Brothers. I got to meet Aly and AJ at the AmberWatch Foundation -- it was an event a couple of weeks ago. I met the Jonas Brothers, which was very fun. I haven't met Miley yet, but I really want to.
J-14: Tell us about your Radio Disney hit, "Goodbyes."
Savannah: I wrote it during middle school graduation. It was about my best friend at the time. She was moving to a different high school, and it was going to be tough not being best friends.
J-14: What was it like shooting your first music video for "Goodbyes?"
Savannah: It was really fun. It was weird because it was the first time I'd met the boyfriend in the video, and we had to hold hands with each other and go down the hall. It was so fun because I'm always watching music videos on TRL - to shoot my own was awesome.
