As J-14 previously reported, besides participating in the all-star remake of "We Are The World" to benefit Haiti, Miley Cyrus lent her voice for another Haiti charity single - a cover of R.E.M.'s song "Everybody Hurts."

Other celebs on the single include: Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart, Alexandra Burke, Take That, Joe McElderry, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Blunt, James Morrison, Susan Boyle, Westlife, and the song was produced by Simon Cowell.

The single will be released for download on February 7 and the CD will be available on February 8.

Simon Cowell is doing his part to help raise money for Haiti. The American Idol judge is teaming up with super stars like Miley Cyrus to re-record the R.E.M. hit "Everybody Hurts," and the proceeds will go towards Haiti relief.

Other celebs that have signed on to the project include: Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart, Jon Bon Jovi, Take That, Michael Bublé, Westlife, Alexandra Burke, James Morrison, Mika, and James Blunt.

There is no set release date for the single, but J-14 will let you know as soon as we find out!

First Paula Abdul leaves the judges table and now this -- after weeks of speculation, Simon Cowell just confirmed that this season of American Idol will be his last. "I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than ever before. I hope it'll be higher [rated] than it was last year," he says.

But this won't be the end of Simon -- he'll be working on bringing his hit British TV show The X Factor to American television. (The X Factor was the show that discovered Leona Lewis!)

The new season of Idol start tomorrow night at 8 pm on FOX.

Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Shania Twain, Neil Patrick Harris, and Victoria Beckham (pictured above) have all taken a turn as the fourth judge during the auditions for the ninth season of American Idol... but the permanent fourth judge has just been announced.

Joining Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi at the judges' table all season long will be.... drumroll please... Ellen DeGeneres!

The funnywoman will join the new team (Paula Abdul is no longer part of the judges' panel) when the new season debuts in January 2010.

Ellen's reaction? "I'm thrilled to be the new judge on American Idol," she said. "I've watched since the beginning, and I've always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I'll save from not having to text in my vote."

Ha! Said true Ellen style!
