Former The Hills star Lauren Conrad has a lot to smile about this week. She celebrated her 24th birthday on Monday and her second novel, Sweet Little Lies, the follow-up to her New York Times bestselling debut L.A. Candy, just hit stores yesterday!

"I based it a lot on the emotional things you go through," Lauren explains about her main character, Jane. "There's no how-to when it comes to being thrown into this situation. There were so many moments where I was like, 'This isn't normal. This is crazy!' So when it was all done with, I though this would be a fun way to tell a story."

But the one thing Lauren wouldn't talk about today was her former BFF Heidi Montag. When asked about Heidi's 10 plastic surgery procedures, Lauren grew visibly uncomfortable. "I think it's a personal choice," Lauren says. When asked again about Heidi's revealing post-surgery pictures, Lauren responded, "It's a look."

Lauren did say she's happy to have moved on from The Hills and is currently working on her third novel.

The Hills' Heidi Montag recently revealed that she had 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, including botox, a breast augmentation, and a chin reduction. The 23-year-old reality star originally claimed that she had become obsessed with plastic surgery and eventually wants to get even larger breast implants.

LC leaves The Hills

Like, OMG! After five seasons on the hit MTV show, Lauren Conrad said goodbye to reality TV.

HSM's Corbin Bleu, Demi Lovato, The Hills' Audrina Patridge, singer Colbie Caillat, and Paris Hilton have all teamed up with Forever 21 to help out the Starlight Children's Foundation, a non-profit organization that uses entertainment, education, and family activities to help seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear, and isolation of their illnesses.

The celebs all became artists and fashion designers! They were given art materials, including paints, markers, and sketch pads, and asked to make a unique painting based on the themes "star" and "light." Then Forever 21 turned those designs into t-shirts or tank tops.

"I am excited to be designing a T-shirt on behalf of Starlight and Forever 21," Starlight's National Spokesperson Corbin says. "As a Starlight ambassador I have been inspired by the children and families I have had the privilege of meeting along the way, and by the strength they've shown in the hardest of times. I encourage everyone to get involved with Starlight and help lift the spirits of these brave children."

The T-shirts will be available in select Forever 21 stores and online at Forever21.com, and each celeb's original artwork will be up for auction at Starlight's eBay store, starting Dec. 21.

Looks like despite all of the gossip and rumors, tons of MTV stars are returning to The Hills. Despite talk from Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt, and Lo Bosworth suggesting that they didn't want to return for another season of The Hills, Audrina has signed on for the sixth season. She's joining Kristin Cavallari, who announced that the show would definitely be continue at The Hills live finale show last week, and Justin Bobby.

Kristin and Audrina both fought over Justin Bobby during this past season, but in the finale, Kristin and Justin were deciding if they should give a relationship a shot. There's no doubt drama will definitely follow all three of them in upcoming issues if Kristin and Justin really make a go of it. And to add to that drama, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag also announced they'd be returning.

Lauren Conrad may be done with the show, but there's no doubt that the sixth season will still be interesting even as she continues to stay away from the cameras.

J-14 hung out with Lo Bosworth right before The Hills' finale aired live this week, and we got all the scoop on how she really feels about the end of this season and live without Lauren Conrad -- on camera.

J-14: What were you most excited for in the finale?
Lo Bosworth: I'm really excited for Audrina [Patridge]. She's going to have some definite closure in her life -- a long time coming, so I'm really proud of her. We got so much closer this season, so I totally back her decision.

J-14: Was it weird not working with Lauren this season?
Lo: We live together, so from the beginning we had this personal life that was always the same. That hasn't changed at all. Our work atmosphere has changed -- we started filming Laguna Beach when we were still in high school! For me it's more about making new friendships this season, and I'm so much closer to Audrina and Stephanie [Pratt] now. It makes me comfortable to go to work with them because for a few weeks there, I had that new kid at school syndrome, like when you lose your best friend. But I've become a lot closer with the other girls so it's still really nice.

J-14: How did you deal with some of the criticism that comes from being on a reality show?
Lo: We have so many amazing fans, but we have just as many people that think we are a joke. I don't like to get caught up in all the drama because I don't want people to see me that way. I went to UCLA. I'm normal. I stay out of it because I want a future like after The Hills.

I had so much fun last night hanging out backstage at the live The Hills and The City finale extravaganza, filmed right in NYC at MTV's Times Square studio! It was cool to see Whitney Port and Roxy Olin joking around between interviews, Kristin Cavallari giggling when Brody Jenner's name was mentioned during the TV special, and Holly Montag running around the hallways saying hello to everybody including Justin Bobby and Kristin! All the girls looked so pretty in their super sparkly and sequined dresses -- or in Audrina Patridge's case, one of her signature jumpers! Plus she's back to her dark brown locks, which look gorgeous, of course!

And don't worry, I got some inside scoop for you too -- plus some signed goodies, but you'll have to wait for an upcoming issue of J-14 to find out just what those are! =)

Kristin and Whitney both revealed last night that The Hills and The City are returning for new seasons, but before that announcement, I asked Whitney all about her thoughts on continuing with her reality show. "I would love it to keep going," Whitney tells J-14. "I put my heart and soul into this whole project and obviously I want it to be a success and go for as long as people want it to go. I'd love it to go on."

Holly revealed to me that she's no longer talking to her sister Heidi Montag, but she's cool with the rest of the cast. "I've always had a cordial relationship with pretty much everyone on the cast," Holly explains to J-14. "Stacie is my best friend -- we just moved in together actually. She's the sweetest girl in the world. Kristen I just adore, and I can't wait to get to know her better."

I can't wait to see what happens when the cameras keep rolling!

The Season 1, Part 2 finale of The City airs tomorrow night (Tuesday, December 1 at 10:30 pm ET), so J-14 caught up with Whitney Port's pal Roxy Olin to chat about the show before the finale airs December 1 on MTV. J-14 talked to Roxy about the reality show, what Whitney's really like, and why she's waiting to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon!

J-14: Are you happy to be on The City over to The Hills?
Roxy Olin: Yes. I know the people from L.A., and they have a great thing going, but if I were to enter now it would be really hard. What I love about being in New York is that I get to work for Kelly Cutrone and in fashion, and I really love New York City!

J-14: What is Whitney like off-camera?
Roxy: Whitney's a goof ball -- she's so much fun. She's really spontaneous, and I don't think they show that [side] much. She parties harder than I do and they don't make it look like that! She's definitely a fun, spontaneous girl.

J-14: What's the best place to visit in New York City?
Roxy: The ice skating rink [at Rockefeller Center].

J-14: Are you excited for the New Moon premiere?
Roxy: I'm pretty excited. I won't go for a little bit until it calms down, but I'm going to go because I gush over Edward. I'm not normal at all!

J-14: Are there any rumors you really want to clear up?
Roxy: I'm not dating Justin Bobby!

With just a few eps of The Hills' fifth season left, J-14 just had to get our fix in before it was too late! Stephanie Pratt has been crazy busy but we chatted with her (while she was taking care of her parents' dog!), and she told us all about life without Lauren, how she really feels about Kristin, and her Team Edward obsession!

J-14: Has it been weird for you to not have Lauren Conrad there?
Stephanie Pratt: It's really lame. Audrina [Patridge], Lo [Bosworth], and I all miss her the same amount. We all talk about it when we go to beach houses in Malibu and parties. We were all really good friends -- she's Lo's best friend is gone -- so it's sad. We still hang out -- we have each other on BBM.

J-14: How have you adjusted to Kristin Cavallari being there?
Stephanie: I've seen two different sides of her. It's really hard trusting someone who you don't know. I'm a sensitive person in general -- even seeing strangers upset makes me sad! I'm trying to work on not being affected by everything that goes on. Everyone's [been] trying to give Kristin a chance, and we're all having a lot of fun hanging out in Malibu. You try to make new friends and keep the old ones, but right now the dynamic on the show is that people are having to make a choice, so there's a lot of tension.

J-14: Is it weird to have Kristin and Brody Jenner filming together again?
Stephanie: It's not really. I've known Brody forever. He was best friends with my brother when him and Kristin started dating five years ago -- that was so long ago! They really just seem like friends. She was the first girlfriend that Brody was settled with -- they were in a committed relationship. Brody and I don't really get along. I like to stay clear of him. I completely took Audrina's side with the whole Hawaii thing.

J-14: How do you feel knowing that some of the things happening in your real life aren't shown on TV?
Stephanie: The only thing that bothers me is that no ones ever seen the other side of [my brother] Spencer. But no, we've never, ever seen a script! It's always fun to watch other reality shows and be like, 'I don't believe that's how any of them are,' but for us pretty much everything is what it is, just edited down.

J-14: Are you Team Jacob or Team Edward?
Stephanie: Edward! I was reading Twilight shouting out loud, 'I hate you Jacob!' I was so mad at him! On my BBM, my status would be, 'Jacob leave her alone!'

J-14: Do you have a celeb crush?
Stephanie: Ryan Gosling!

There are many organizations out there dedicated to finding a cure to breast cancer through many different means, and one of the biggest ones is Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year, Yoplait has teamed up with the foundation and formed the "Know Your Girls" Campaign.

"The 'Know Your Girls' program is designed to engage young women, help them connect with each other through education, and ultimately pass along information on the best breast-health habits and screening measures," Yoplait's marketing manager Tammy says. "There still is no cure for breast cancer, so education and early detection programs are some of the strongest defenses against the disease; we are asking young women to educate themselves and spread awareness to their peers."

It's almost time for the sixth drama-filled season of The Hills to begin (premiering on MTV Tuesday September 29 at 10:00 p.m. ET!) but today it's all about Heidi Montag who is celebrating her 23rd birthday! Heidi just Tweeted that this will be the best birthday ever with her hubby Spencer by her side and a new dog! Happy Birthday, Heidi!

Fun Facts About Heidi:
-A hidden talent Heidi discovered while filming her music video for "Higher" with Spencer was how to do a good bird call to the surrounding seagulls!
-Heidi and Lauren Conrad became friends after meeting at freshmen orientation in college when Heidi approached LC to chat!
-The Hills isn't the first MTV reality show Heidi was on -- she also appeared on a couple episodes of Laguna Beach!

Just when you thought the antics of The Hills' Spencer Pratt couldn't get any crazier, he officially just topped himself! Spencer announced that he's legally changing his name to "King Spencer Pratt!"

"I've decided since there is a Queen of England and a Prince William that there should be a king of America," Spencer says. "I nominate myself for that role."

And he's not kidding -- look what he wrote on his Twitter:

We can't wait to see more Speidi craziness in the new season of The Hills, which premieres on Tuesday, September 29 at 10 pm on MTV.

Following in the step of Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge just announced that the upcoming season of The Hills (premieres on September 29 at 10 pm), will be her last!

"I'm almost done with The Hills. We're in the middle of finishing these episodes, and I'll be leaving then," Audrina says. "It feels like I'm graduating. I'm taking the next step and growing up and maturing and moving on in my life."

But Audrina's not leaving the spotlight entirely -- she's turning to her true passion, acting! "I moved to Los Angeles to be an actress, and before I got onto The Hills," she reveals. Her next project? The new horror flick Sorority Row, with Rumer Willis and Princess Protection Program's Jamie Chung, that comes out on September 11.

Fancy LBDs, girls! The Hills'Lo Bosworth, 10 Things I Hate About You's Meaghan Jette Martin, and Suite Life On Deck's Brenda Song all sported this ruffly French Connection dress, but each added their own touches to the fun black dress. Lo wore fancy peep-toe heels to compliment the party dress, Meaghan paired hers with a black headband and strappy sandals, and Brenda added funky purple nails and white shoes to her look!

J-14 loves the fact that Greek's Amber Stevens is answering all of your fashion questions. She's got some sweet style helpers to back up her tips, like Greek's stylist, Mandy -- she puts outfits together for Amber's character, Ashleigh. "She's really funny and cool and most of the time, my costume for the scene is something Mandy is wearing to work that day!" Amber tells J-14. "She'll coordinate and say, 'Oh I own that, I'll wear that the same day to work so we're matching.' So I basically wear everything she wears." Amber also got to meet fashionista Lauren Conrad from The Hills when LC guest starred alongside Amber and Spencer Grammer in the season two finale.

Since Amber's got so many fashionable people in her life -- and she's quite stylish herself --- Amber was able to give Amanda great advice on changing up her style. Check out her tips below, and look for her next fashion q & a next Friday!

I have the problem of always wearing the same style, but when I try to change it up a little bit, it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I like the preppy style I have, but people always tell me to change it. In some ways, I can't! What do I do?

Hey Amanda -

Stick with the style you love! It can be hard to go outside of your comfort zone, so start small and try new accessories. Add some hair ornaments or wear long necklaces and hoop earrings. Changing the colors of your clothes could help, too, but be sure to tell your friends to buy you new clothes if they want to see you in something else so badly!

Lauren Conrad just revealed via her Myspace page that she is completely done with filming The Hills. The show will continue to run on MTV without Lauren and she assures fans that she has other projects in the works.

"Last night was my last episode of "The Hills". It was a bittersweet night for me. A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has watched and supported me over the years. While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn't always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference. Because of all of you, I was able to accomplish so many aspirations and for that I am very grateful. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

I have some interesting projects in the works and I will keep you all updated.

The Hills' couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt officially tied the knot today.... and Heidi Tweeted her way through the whole experience! (Click here to read more of Heidi's Twitter.)

The wedding took place at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California. There were about 400 guests including Lauren Conrad who told us earlier this week she got an invite, but wasn't going to attend the wedding.

Also at the wedding were Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth, Frankie Delgado, Kristin Cavallari, and Perez Hilton.

What do you think of Speidi tying the knot?

Lauren Conrad guest stars on Family Guy Sunday, May 3 on FOX in the episode "We Love You, Conrad." J-14 chatted with Lauren and she spilled about what its like voicing a cartoon character, her future in acting, and more!

Q: Are you a fan of Family Guy?
Lauren: I am a fan of the show. I've watched it for years. My favorite character is Stewie.

Q: What's it like seeing a cartoon version of yourself?
Lauren: It's fun. The most exciting part is to see what you look like animated. I feel like unless you have a really prominent feature on your face, you kind of just look like a cartoon character, so I thought it was fun.

Q: Besides Family Guy and The Hills, what TV shows are you loving right now?
Lauren: I really like Lost, and I'm watching Brothers & Sisters. 30 Rock is my favorite.

Q: Do you plan on taking more acting roles once The Hills is over?
Lauren: Acting, no. I've done a couple of cameos on shows, and it was fun to do it for the day, but it's not something I'm interested in. I've been doing voice work for about five years just because of The Hills, so that's something I would be interested in. Audrina is getting into acting, so she would probably be interested [in being a cartoon character]. I feel like any of the girls would be down. It's kind of a fun thing to do.

Q: In the episode, Brian discovers you're not like the way you're portrayed on TV. Do you think the real you is different from what people see on TV?
Lauren: A little bit. I don't know if it's necessarily me or just the reputation of an average reality star. They basically make fun of me for being dumb, and then Brian discovers that I'm actually a genius and that it's a character I play because America likes dumb people. It's a more exaggerated version of who I am, but it was fun to play.
