TWIST had so much fun hanging out with Gabe, Ryland and Alex from Cobra Starship yesterday! The guys brought us cupcakes and talked about working with Leighton Meester on their song "Good Girls Go Bad." "She's awesome and has a great sense of humor. And great shoes," Ryland told us.
The guys' obsession with Gossip Girl led them to ask Leighton to sing on their album. They were lurking the Gossip Girl fan pages and read that Leighton wanted to release a CD. So the band tracked her down and asked her to sing with them, and she agreed!
As for the song's theme about girls always going for the bad boy, Gabe says, "There's guys that are rude for the sake of being rude and that's not what we're talking about. I think we're talking about guys that aren't scared to do something crazy for a girl."
Cobra Starship's CD Hot Mess comes out next month and is the perfect summer soundtrack. All the songs are really catchy and upbeat -- perfect for a party!
