We are so happy to hear Miley was totally supportive for her bestie's breakup with her older brother, Trace Cyrus a few weeks ago.

In a recent interview, Demi doesn't admit she and Trace were BF/GF, but she explains how she stayed tight with her ex's sister!

"She's been shooting a movie so I haven't seen her in a while, but we still talk all the time," Demi opens up. "I shot her one [text message] like, 'Dude, look, I love you no matter what!' And she's like, 'I know he's crazy!'" Wowza, we love that these girls are so there for each other!

TWIST has the latest on summer's most recent fizzle, Demi and Trace Cyrus (Miley's older bro and Metro Station frontman).

The couple first displayed their love connection on Twitter and TWIST was the only mag to talk to Demi about their relationship!

Well, now Trace is spilling the beans on what went down this past weekend!

On why his relationship with Demi didn't work: "Demi is one of my good friends and I definitely became very, very close with her in the past few months, and it's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules - we're both on tour right now. I'm always on the other side of the world and so is she, so it just seemed like something that can't work out at this time."

On why they clicked: "We gave it a shot and that's all you can do. Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her, it was amazing. She's someone I can totally relate to."

On the almost 4-year age difference: "She is a lot younger than me. When someone is that much younger, you're looking for different things in relationships. Maybe when she's older and we've both matured, we'll be looking for the same thing and it can work out."

There's been so much buzz surrounding Demi and Trace's Twitter flirtfest over the last few weeks -- what's going on between them?! TWIST sat down with Demi for a one-on-one at our shoot yesterday, and she dished about their connection!

"Trace is really one of my good friends," Demi confessed only to TWIST. "People don't realize that he is really, really cool. And he is one of my good friends. I think we get along really well because he's someone who I can really talk to about a lot of stuff. We've both been through a lot."

So, are they dating? When TWIST asked Demi for advice on what to do if you like your friend's older brother, Demi shyly replied "I don't know!"

Oh my! TWIST girls, we've got loads of couple news for ya -- we're talking Jiley, Niley and new deets on Demi and Trace Cyrus' friendship!

*First, Jiley break-up rumors have been all over the web today! The super-cute couple said their goodbyes this weekend as Miley had to head to Georgia to film her movie The Last Song. And based on recent tweets from both Miley and Justin, the goodbyes weren't easy. And with Miley's busy schedule (filming, designing her clothing line AND touring), let's hope this couple can handle long distance!

*In related Miley news, she spent Saturday with her first love, Nick J! Is a Niley reunion in store? They are def getting super-tight again! Soon after hanging out, they both took to their Twitter accounts talking about the wonderful day they spent together!

*And finally, Miley isn't just talented on screen and on stage. She's a pro at matchmaking, too! Her older bro, Trace Cyrus (from Metro Station) has been mucho-closer to Miley's BFF, Demi! Trace and Demi have been Tweet flirting for a couple weeks -- writing about movie nights, going to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and late night phone convos!
