M's New Daily Celeb Advice Column!

jennifer:disney.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Jennifer Stone giving the 411 on how to chase your dreams!

M Reader 1emmettlover asked:
I've always wanted to be a actor but I'm not amazing at it. How can I become better and follow my dream?

And Jennifer's answer is:
"Show business is not an easy world. So if you really want this, then I'd definitely say that NOTHING is impossible! You just have to keep going at it! You have to know that this is something that you really want and you have to try hard to get better at it. I think the best way to get started is to start acting in theater, especially if you live in a small town! I learned so much through the years that I did theater. It's such a welcoming environment, especially for those who don't feel totally accepted within their school community. I was always a little quirky and theater was a great place for me to express the different qualities I had. It was like a club for the outgoing person -- plus, I got tons and tons of practice! It was just what I needed to improve as an actor and to get my foot in the door!"

lucas:jen lowery.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Lucas Grabeel giving the deets on going through changes in school -- for yourself!

M Reader Lizzard24 asked:
I like this boy but he's so mean to me -- he made fun of me with his friends all the time last year! The thing is, we used to be buddies when I was a 6th grader and he was a 7th grader. Then all of a sudden he changed the year after! He stopped talking to me and deleted me off his friend list. I tried talking to him many times but he never responds. He even tells everyone that I'm annoying -- but I'm not doing anything! I'm not sure why he's doing this. What do I do to make him change his idea of me?

And Lucas' answer is:
"It's really hard to go through school and be yourself without caring what other people think of you. If you can think about life from a different point of view and take a step back, you'll realize that being upset and dealing with things like this isn't worth it. What does matter is being you and not changing yourself to make other people happy. Making somebody else happy in 8th grade isn't going to change your life 10 years from now. These middle school years are so important for you to be yourself and for you to do things that make you happy -- not that please other people! You may not realize it now, but focusing on yourself is the time when you're actually creating who you are. You're going to change plenty of times before you get to be in your twenties. You're going to do that forever! And that's fine. It's a part of life, as long as you're changing for yourself. You just have to be true to who you are!"

Vanessa:disney enterprises.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Vanessa Hudgens giving the 411 on how to avoid bullying!

M Reader jane913 asked:
There's this one mean guy in one of my classes. My friend said he's gossiping about me in her math class. I even used to like him and I don't know why -- but now he's bullying me too! What do I do?

And Vanessa's answer is:
"Don't let bullies get to you, that's the best advice I can give you. Because once you start letting it bother you, they start feeling accomplished. So I think that if you really don't let it make you upset, the bullies will be defeated by you basically killing them with kindness. And that's been my motto for the longest time -- get to them through kindness!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Boys Like Girls dishing popularity not meaning a thing!

M Reader Littlewolf97 asked:
I don't have many friends and I get picked on a lot. I'm sick of it and I want to change my self-image. What can I do?

And Boy Like Girls' answer is:
"We did our own thing when we were in school. We dressed crazy. We even wore ties to school. We didn't care. We think people in school focus too much on what everyone else thinks. You're true friends are the only thing that matters. When you get out of school, the person you've become is all that matters. Popularity contests mean absolutely nothing. It's just a phase in life! If you can get around that and not care about it, then you're the ultimate cool!"

Zac:disney enterprises.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Zac Efron giving advice on chasing your dreams!

M Reader xoJBxo asked:
I'm a singer and I'm really interested in following my dreams and becoming a famous singer and actress! Any tips?

And Zac's answer is:
"I think a lot of the reasons kids don't know how to approach the next step is because it involves a risk. You definitely have to go out of your comfort zone to achieve something great. And that's the toughest thing, I think, about growing up. Breaking that comfort zone. You can go to school everyday and play video games after school or whatever, but if you don't take the extra step and do the extra work toward your goals, you'll never reach them. So my advice is to do something risky. Try and do something everyday that takes you out of your comfort zone!"

sterling:andy fossum:startraks.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Sterling Knight giving the deets on how to overcome being bullied!

M Reader superstar14 asked:
I'm going to high school next year and there are some mean girls at my school now who are going with me. How do I avoid them?

And Sterling's answer is:
"I've totally felt bullied before. It's a horrible thing and there's no way to get around it. It was probably the worst part of my school experience. It's so much easier to make yourself feel confident and secure by putting other people down. It's not the prettiest reality of it, but that's the truth. It's not worth getting upset over. I used to cry because I was so depressed and I didn't know what I was doing wrong to deserve being bullied like that. Eventually, I realized that people who bully are not worth my time. Sure enough, a couple years have passed since then and those people who really put me through the rough part of my life are not doing well now! And there's a reason for that. They spent too much time putting other people down and they never grew out of that immature stage. It's important to know that it's not worth it to be really upset. In the end, you will have the last laugh!"

tiffany:disney channel.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Sonny with a Chance's Tiffany Thornton talking about how to deal with people spreading rumors and gossiping!

M Reader DemiLovatoLuver8 asked:
My BFF of 6 years has been gossiping and spreading rumors non-stop and I can't stand it anymore! She ignores me all the time and if she does talk to me, she's really mean. She knows I've been bullied before and I'm super sensitive about it but she does it to me now! She doesn't understand me and doesn't even try to make time for our friendship. To top it all off, my other friends are hanging out with her even though they know what she's doing to me. I feel so left out and alone. What do I do?

And Tiffany's answer is:
"I think a lot of times people judge others out of their own insecurities and it's hard to deal with their judgments. But instead of being angry at those people I think you just need to realize that it's sad for them to feel the need to speak badly about you or anyone else. It usually means there's something inside of themselves that they don't want to confront so they feel the need to point out the flaws in other people. When you're happy with yourself deep down, you have more of a positive outlook. But when you're not happy with yourself, you have a negative outlook on other people. So try to ignore them and hope that those people find a different kind of happiness in their lives!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Nina Dobrev talking hurtful heartbreak!

M Reader JONAS4EVA asked:
I have a huge crush on a guy at school. The problem is that he has a girlfriend and I already told him that I like him! He said that things are okay between us which made me feel better but now every time I see them they're kissing in my face! I don't know what to do!

And Nina's answer is:
"The best advice I ever got was that from every relationship and breakup you learn something new about yourself. You also learn what qualities you do and don't like in a partner! That pain you witness in a heartbreak is necessary or else you wouldn't appreciate the feeling of true love when you see it!"

M Reader ILuvMusic asked:
I'm a really nervous and shy girl but I love to sing. I just can't perform in front of people. I got a new guitar a few months ago but barely play it in front of my parents. I want to be able to perform in front of my friends and family because I love to sing. How can I get over my shyness?

And Allison's answer is:
"Just go for it and have fun! I mean, obviously you're going to be nervous but you can take that nervousness and use it to help give you a boost! That's what I use my fright for. You'll be scared but once you're up there it's not so bad. I try to totally black everything out when I'm on stage and just have fun!"

I'm not sure how to go about making friends with the right person. I'm looking for a real friendship but don't know how to find one! Can you help me?

And Avril's answer is:
"You have to be comfortable with yourself. Above all, don't try to be someone else to fit into a group. If you do that then you won't be happy in the end. But you will be happy if you stick to just being true to yourself. After that, friends will follow! They'll like you for who you are and you'll click with the perfect friend!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Rihanna talking how to deal with getting teased!

M Reader mgirl815 asked:
I went shopping with my mom and got this cute shirt and hat. When I went to Orchestra practice, this girl asked me where I got my outfit. All of a sudden, she started making fun of me to another girl! I love my new clothes and hearing them make fun of me made me sad. Now everyone at school is teasing me. I'm so upset. How can I deal with this?

And Rihanna's answer is:
"Stay away from gossipers and girls who just want to spread rumors. I had to deal with a lot of that when I was growing up. I remember being entered in a pageant and my friends were really supportive about it. But when I won 1st place, they started being really nasty to me. I just ignored them right away. You don't have to deal with it! It's not fair and it's definitely not worth it at all."

M Reader taylor_lautner123 asked:
My friends are ditching me for their boyfriend or girlfriend and since I don't have a boyfriend, I'm all alone! What do I do?

And Ryan's answer is:
"Don't shun away from your friends because you can't relate to them right now. I've definitely been in a situation when I've feel like I don't really have any close friends. It feels like everyone's getting on your nerves. But you have to just reach out to people -- that always helps. I found the biggest way to help me in school was to finally find my close friends. I was able to talk to them when I was having a bad day. Having someone there who you can talk to has always been the greatest help for me. And those kinds of friends will show up when you least expect it. Just be patient!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Taylor Swift talking never changing for a boy!

M Reader aka Lucy asked:
All my friends are starting to date guys and I'm scared that it's going to change our friendships! What do I do?

And Taylor's answer is:
"People should never change who they are to please whoever they're with. If their boyfriend or girlfriend is truly right for them then they'll love them for who they are, not who they want them to change into! In my opinion, there is definitely a pressure for girls to change who they are for a boy. But I think the older you get, the more you realize you are who you are and the person you want to be with will love you just that way. You won't have to change for your true love!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Brenda Song giving the 411 on how to deal with nasty rumors!

M Reader nicklover01 asked:
There are these girls who won't stop spreading nasty rumors about me. I've asked them to stop like a million times, but they won't. They think it's hilarious. They even made my best friend hate me! I don't know how to make them stop. I've even tried telling teachers but they don't do anything. What do I do?

And Brenda's answer is:
"Rumors in school are so hard because those are your peers. You just have to stay true to yourself and know that the people who do love and care for you should know you enough not to believe rumors. That's something that's really important. That's how you can point out your true friends from fake friends. If something is said about you and your friends are like 'Oh, I don't want to hang out with you anymore,' then they aren't your true friends. If they knew you well enough and really cared about you for who you are, they wouldn't believe any of the rumors they hear. That's something that is really important -- to surround yourself with people that would take your word over anybody else's. So, just stay true to yourself!"

corbin:albert michael:startraks.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Corbin Bleu talking overcoming shyness when asking a boy out!

M Reader harrypotter+twilightcombo asked:
I really like this boy at my school. I think that he likes me back, but I'm afraid to get hurt after the last rejection from my crush. To top it off, I'm extremely shy. But I really like him and would like to give a relationship with him a try. What should I do? How do I get over my shyness?

And Corbin's answer is:
"I think the biggest thing is to be totally fine with whoever you are. I know it sounds cliché, but you just have to be confident with yourself. I know some kids usually hear that and go, 'Okay, how many times have we heard that before? We can't really do that.' It may seem untrue but it's not! In school, people judge each other and lots of times those being judged take it really personally! It could really get to a person. I went through my own little bit of that and I finally just learned to tell myself, 'Look, first of all, as long as you know what the truth is, it doesn't matter what anybody else says.' You just have to learn to trust that you are okay with who you are. And after that, confidence will follow! What can you possibly lose? What may seem like a big deal now will not be upsetting for very long. Trust me. Just work on your confidence and then make a move!"

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Cody Linley giving tips on dealing with your parents' divorce!

M Reader tacheyanna asked:
My parents have just gone through a divorce a month ago and I'm really depressed. I'm always down and I cry about it a lot. How do I cope with this?

And Cody's answer is:
"My parents got divorced when I was really young. When I'm back home in Texas, I go to my dad's house every other weekend and stay at my mom's during the week. It takes time to get used to but I'm actually happy now. I ended up loving growing up this way because it's made me the person I am today. My parents remarried which was really weird at first. It took time for me to adjust. But I wouldn't change a thing because my step-dad and my step-mom are both a big part of my life. It just takes time. The key is to look at it in a positive way. And if you can't yet, you'll get there eventually."

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Make It or Break It's Josie Loren dishing mean girl survival!

M Reader icarlyfan123 asked:
There are 3 mean girls in my class. They are so hard to understand. One day they want to be my BFF and the next day they tell me I'm mean and annoying. How do I deal with this?

And Josie's answer is:
"I had a few mean girls in my class at school. At the time, I went to a new school that was especially for the arts and there were like 20 people in our entire grade. So I was trying to get along with everyone because if I didn't, I'd have no friends. I had a really hard time bonding with people, though. Girls ended up constantly bullying me really badly. Teachers and even my mom had to get involved and the girls actually ended up crying over it. Turns out they had things going on in their own lives that bothered them and made them act that way. Surprisingly, we all ended up being really good friends. I didn't take the bullying too personally -- I think that's really important. Sometimes people take it as girls making fun of them because what they're laughing at is true. Well, it's not like that at all. There's usually something going on with the people doing all the laughing. You're not the problem and it's important to understand that."

M Reader mizy101 asked:
"I've gone to private school my whole life until this year. Now I'm homeschooled and I hate it! I'm lonely and I literally get pounds of homework. I really miss getting to see my friends and my crush. What should I do?

And David's answer is:
"I was always strict with making sure I did my homework so I could have more time to hang out. Sometimes when you concentrate too much on hanging out with friends you don't have any time to do all your work -- and that's more important than you think! Knowing that always kept me motivated to finish everything I had to do. The sooner you get it finished, the faster you'll get to hang out with friends! I always did my work first because after all, you want to do well on it! Friends will always be there to hang out with you, even if they're not getting the same projects. M Reader Nadster97 asked:
I've always felt insecure about my looks. Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and don't feel confident. It's usually my acne and natural looks. I just don't feel pretty. How do I deal with this?

And Jesse's answer is:
"My biggest insecurity growing up is a toss up between facial acne and going through that whole stage of my voice changing. For acne, I tried every medication and a lot of them didn't work. Then I finally found one that did work but I didn't take it consistently. I just kind of had to let time pass, deal with it, and realize there's nothing I can do about it. I still had to be myself and try to roll with the punches! Eventually, everything fell into just the right place!"

There is this girl that thinks she is friends with my friends and me but she's really mean and self centered. We're nice to her because we don't like being mean but we really don't want to hang out with her anymore. We've tried talking to her about her attitude but she just gets mad! How can we get through this?

And Jennette's answer is:
"Not everybody's going to be nice to you or look out for the good of you. And not everybody wants to make your world better. There are going to be people who want to be mean and cruel for no apparent reason. But you just have to really stick by your true friends and your family and try to see the good in people because there's more bad out there than you can expect!"
